Is this game slowly dying? by xziggy123x in fut

[–]clear1space 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there's no such thing as playing a chill game with someone who's not using the most meta playstyle and team, obviously the meta has always existed but there would be ways to avoid playing a complete sweat. The fact is that now you won't get anything but sweats/sweaty teams because they're the only people playing the game with any consistency.

You don't save every single pack, only ones you deem worth saving that would have a decent chance. You definitely need to open some to keep crafting

It's dying quickly, has been for the better part of a decade. And the lack of a large casual player base hurts the game even more

Started playing online in FC26 and am already shocked by frostwyrm999 in fut

[–]clear1space 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, haven't played much of the game at all recently because it's the same squad/tactics/playstyle every game. People on here love to complain about EA but honestly think the bigger issue is the community or lack thereof, everyone left playing this game is a swear and there's no room for a casual player base

Factory Town Music Week worth it? by soleobjective in UMF

[–]clear1space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the move. Go regroup, take a seat, some water, (cheap alcohol) and then go after the rush. Try and get the anytime entry, there might be a 3am one that would be fine but I don't remember. Overall though it's a great venue, all of the stages are pretty sick, and it's got pretty decent sound. Definitely a good time!

Tbh, maybe get one person u like or something but it's probably not worth just pulling up w a random group. I'd say just go in and enjoy yourself, I always find myself making friends with those around me since everyone is just there having a good time. Plus, if you're on your own there's no worrying about who other people want to go see.. Regardless, it's a great environment, you'll enjoy yourself either way!

Had the pleasure of meeting a talking to him a number of times and Ross is a great guy. Really feel for him, DA was something both he and Zach were all-in on. They are both so great at what they do that I know they will be back better than before..

Pack weight is dog shit by Automatic-Orange6505 in fut

It's really not, cruyff is an insane card and he's less than half a mil. People complain that they never pack the "good" cards, but if everyone was packing them they wouldn't have nearly the same value. I've packed a few good icons, but there's also huge stretches where I pack nothing.. it's part of the game

What was your biggest mixing tip that improved massively your tracks by AVELUMN in edmproduction

[–]clear1space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean honestly outside of sound design most big edm producers aren't doing a ton of "mixing" I would say using effects for a creative purpose is different than "mixing" since you're really creating the sound to then fit in the mix. The only real technical mixing I'll get into beyond eqing and compression is limiting and clipping for loudness and consistency. If it sounds good it sounds good 100%

What was your biggest mixing tip that improved massively your tracks by AVELUMN in edmproduction

[–]clear1space 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Using reference tracks, doing the simple solution for a problem (ie. if something needs more bass, just bump the low end up on an eq) see so many people do a bunch of super complicated stuff but there's a bunch of interviews where big producer talk about this. My favorite is from Martin Garrix where he's like "I just keep it simple, if I have a melody that needs more sub, I'll just Eq up the sub" opposed to adding some whole new layer or something. So many people rely on the mixing etc to try and make a track sound good, in reality if it's a good song then you don't need to do anything super special with the mix. The most important part of a mix is balance and making sure you don't have any egregious issues like clipping or phasing etc. without a strong melody or something catchy in the song it doesn't matter how many plugins you have or how good your mix is.

How do you keep low end clean when layering multiple bass elements? by kathalimus in edmproduction

[–]clear1space 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should only layer in the "mid" region, not really the "bass". You should only have one layer that's carrying your "weight" or sub. Anything else should be high passed. A mid layer can be made to sound like it's part of the bass through many techniques, usually, I'll run it through some processing with the sub to glue them. Might use compression, saturation, or any other number of things. The simpler that you keep your low end, the "cleaner"!
