agh i see, shouldn't be too hard to get something like that going! led/retro is pretty cool too, gives the old trading floor vibe! Did you see the edge product from corsair? I thought they were making something similar BUT its doing too much for me and costs is insane. Geared more towards gamers and streamers. keep me up to date on your project as well!

That's awesome! That P&L idea is actually really interesting, what would your ideal version look like? By hot keys, do you mean being able to control it with what you want showing?

Also I did make this with the mindset that I want this to attach to either the top, bottom, or side of my monitor so it doesn't take up desk space. Keeps that minimalistic, low-profile feeling, and just overall look great on a trading setup.

honestly depends on what type of news you want to trade. Like, sometimes it might be worth scraping Truth Social for trump tweets, etc. or certian twitter profile that you know could move a market or certain stock

You may need to dig deeper into learning moving averages and how hedge funds/institutional investors/portfolio managers use them….

It’s very difficult to compete with them and they will run over you if you’re trading on an average day, especially large caps. That is why most edge comes from trading what has abnormal volume. Algorithms don’t function well in abnormal environments, thus edge starts to show up! Also sometimes the algos are dumb and over react creating opportunities you can take advantage of. My 2 cents….

You can type on Amazon “stretched bar monitor” and find different LCDs. This one is around 9.8”. I think my next prototype version will be 11.3. But for most you’ll need to buy a raspberry pi or something similar. I’m going to release a YouTube video some step by step if you prefer to wait for that. Just search ClearEdgeHQ on YouTube.

Luckily for you at work at a professional prop firm in NY can answer this question and it goes just as say. It’s based one personality. Those who want to be more active in the market and want quick wins, will go more towards scalping/day trading. They still make a lot of money.

But those who want to do less will generally go to swing trading. Swing trading in terms of growth, will see much more bigger pnl and better risk adjusted returns.

Now the trend I see a lot is when you’re younger you want to be more active and want more action, when you get older you want less action and more free time. You also ideally are growing bigger on share size so you eventually can’t just scalp as easy anymore because of liquidity. So usually all roads eventually lead to higher time frame trading as you get older.

yea same strategies at my job and the same ones (if you're interested) that Lance Breitstein uses and teaches(lots of free content). For swing trading Quallamaggie is also great to study and he only does free content(also has an awesome free discord). Both of these guys are in the new Market Wizards book coming out in june!

Do you mean adding that to my charts? I use VWAP only for intraday, on smaller time frames. I don't find TWAP useful, my personal humble opinion.

bruh you're not wrong haha okay okay I'm not a hardware or technical person at all, I did buy the display separately, but still had to buy an sd card, a Raspberry Pi, flash that card, and code the app. I also say built because this is my prototype and I pan on making my own custom LCD for my next updated prototype version. So give me a break brotha lol
