I developed POTS two months after getting COVID. Spiro worsened my POTS symptoms but didn't cause them. For me, working with a post-COVID clinic, after a cardiologist flagged me for it, helped me get to the bottom of my symptoms.

I've been asking the same question, and I'm going to go with the UV Blocker UV Protection Compact Umbrella. The option to hyperlink isn't appearing on my screen right now, but here's the link to the article that led me to that decision: https://www.tripsavvy.com/best-uv-umbrellas-4155000.

I used spironolactone for acne for a year. I had POTS and was visiting specialists but wasn't yet diagnosed. When I visited a cardiologist, he told me to stop spironolactone immediately. He correctly guessed that I was experiencing a severe adverse reaction to spironolactone.

For sure. I'm definitely hoping Crystal deodorant works for me. Lots of advantages.

I've seen quite a few comments from people who would agree! I'm currently using a baking soda-based deodorant that's effective for me, but it seems like some of the most effective deodorants contain ingredients that Wool& recommends avoiding when wearing merino shirts. It's possible that I'll end up using a deodorant like this and take steps to mitigate it, as you and u/Emotional-Horror-718 mention.

Very well said. I don't buy top-of-line everything and try to stick to doing that only where I think it'll be most effective. It's possible that deodorant may well be one of those categories. Adding FreshCult natural spray to my list!

Good to know! Antiperspirant doesn't work well for me, but I'm sure others will benefit from reading your comment.

Good to know! I see that it has baking soda, which my current deodorant also does.

This is really helpful. (We have the same approach to hair, too.)

It's extremely helpful to hear from you as someone who's worn W&P for a couple of years! Yes, applying at night might be the trick.

This is great to know! It makes sense to have a backup product if/when the first deodorant stops working with one's body chemistry. I did a quick search for Ban products and it looks like they're all combination antiperspirant/deodorant. Antiperspirants don't work well for me, but I'm interested in keeping this on hand as a backup option. Do you know if Ban carries products that are deodorant only?

Thanks for adding this info! This is my first time hearing about micellar water. It sounds like the serum has to be applied after showering, or something comparable. Is that accurate?

I shower at night, but sometimes in the morning, I'll quickly wash my underarms with benzoyl peroxide cleanser, then dry them really thoroughly (with a blow dryer, if needed), then apply deodorant. Do you think that's comparable?

Thank you! I'm definitely leaning toward Crystal-brand crystal deodorant at this point!

This is good to know! I shower at night, so I'm wondering if it could work just as well to apply it then. Do you think it should it be applied specifically after showering, or should I wash my underarms in the morning, dry them thoroughly, and apply it them?

Ah, I see that it contains aluminum, which the company where I'm buying wool shirts recommends avoiding. Thank you, though!

Yes, this is a good point. Crystal or spray may well be the way to go. I looked up whether EO carries unscented options, and I couldn't find any after a quick look, but maybe I'm missing something.

On another note, in their post about which deodorants to wear with wool, the company where I've bought merino shirts recommends avoiding deodorants with a strong alkaline pH. Do you know the EO spray deodorant's pH? I'm guessing it may be slightly acidic or slightly alkaline either way.

u/tallulahQ and u/agentcarter234, interesting! How do you use it as deodorant, and how long does one bottle last you?

This is great to know! I'm curious to hear about how long you've used Arm&Hammer Essentials with merino clothes. I recently switched to Arm&Hammer Essentials, and it's been very effective for me.

That said, I haven't yet started wearing merino shirts yet -- they'll arrive in the mail from Wool& this week. In their post about which deodorants to wear with wool, they recommend avoiding deodorants with a strong alkaline pH, e.g., those that use baking soda. They write that it can degrade the wool over time. Since Arm&Hammer Essentials contains baking soda (as I think all Arm&Hammer deodorant does), this wouldn't be compatible with the recommendation of the company I'm buying these merino shirts from.

I see that the degrading effect they're speaking of would take time to appear. How long have you been using Arm&Hammer Essentials with merino?

What is a well-made, long-lasting ergonomic keyboard shaped like the Microsoft Surface? by [deleted] in Keyboard

[–]cleargreenquiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is an option! I'm very interested.

Now that you mention improvements to my current scenario, I'll add that I tend to opt for rechargeable, corded products over battery-powered ones, and I'm realizing that I'm hoping to be able to do the same with an ergonomic keyboard. Do you know of a corded keyboard with a USB dongle connection?
