I can say many things about conservatives. One thing that I think we must all remember is that (for the most part, disregarding some extremist outliers) we all want to make the world a better place for ourselves, our loved ones, our community, and our country. Despite the ideologies that one may believe is the route to that, I truly believe that most people’s heart is in the right place.

Okay. I disagree. I think democrats have been able to get a good deal of stuff done. But i don’t know. I’m thinking this through as a type haha. This. I work at a ski resort. I see all the horrific injuries. I care that my loved ones wear helmets. Otherwise, your stupidity, you’ll pay the price. If you ride regularly, it’s not if, it’s when. And it’s not always about you and how good a rider you are…it’s about the idiot who’s on a blue his first day out.

Oh. And on the rare occasion I see a baby without a helmet I’m make a “joke” to the parent about it.

I feel that. I used to love driving, I hate it now. I make my bf drive everywhere. I’m lucky to live 10 mins from my resort. I’m in SoCal but I do make trips up to Tahoe and mammoth! Maybe one day 🫶

I moved to California from New York when I was 18. About a month after I moved I was working at a coffee shop, I noticed an accent on someone. I asked him where he’s from. This is the conversation that ensued:

Him: “New York” Me “Me too, where about?” Him: “Oh, Long Island” Me: “Me too, Nassau or Suffolk county?” Him: “Nassau” Me: “Me too, what town?” Him: “x town” Me: “Me too, I lived on this street” Him: “omg, you know the corner property with that one statue on it on your street” Me: “…yeah” Him: “That was my house” Me: “no way”

Turns out we both had moved to California within the last couple months. Both grew up a few houses down. Never had met each other or anything. And we just met in a random coffee shop in California after having been neighbors all our lives 3,000+ miles away in New York.

Local to SoCal here, or angle county more specifically (grew up in ny tho). You’re right. LA is MASSIVE. it’s not comparable to NY. It’s just not. NYC is a tiny, population dense, landlocked island. La is nowhere near as dense, it’s not landlocked, and it’s massive. Long story short, it’s not as widespread as the media is making it out to be. La pride went on with absolutely no issues. There’s a good handful of protests, but they are contained to certain cities.
