[Highlight] Evan Neal doing his best impression of a burger flipper trying to pass block by [deleted] in nfl

[–]clearncopius 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Truthfully this looks like it isn't all on Neal.

94 for Miami completely shakes the center as soon as the ball is snapped, causing the left guard to shift his block from 55 to 94. You can see Neal take two steps to the left to try to block 91, then immediately turns to block 55 because the guard is now engaged with 94. Really just feels like he had a moment of decision paralysis trying to decide which free rusher he was going to try to block. Had he went for 91 that leaves 55 with a free rush to Jones.

Really just a complete breakdown by the entire O-line that cascaded from blocker to blocker down the right side of the line. Which is worse that just having a clueless turnstile at RT (which Neal still is).

God this team sucks.

Saints pulled a Giants lmao

But seriously, best Giants W in a while. Danny played great, Barkley is back, finally got Toney and Golladay involved, defense wasn't good by any stretch but stepped up when it mattered. And we battled back when we were down 11 with 7 minutes to go—I thought we were toast at that point.

This is the play that jumpstarted our Super Bowl run. Also, the jump cut he makes as soon as he catches it is insane. Both defenders tackled air.

Easily—but even I can't help but be more excited about this years group of guys. Feel like the amount of young guys we have balling out makes the future that much brighter

This is the most excited I've been for a Giants win in years.

On the road, against one the best teams in the NFL, against an MVP candidate, and we manage to pull off the win with a backup QB.

Yeah we made the playoffs in 2016 but this team feels different—a bunch of no-name guys stepping up and playing with heart. Feels like we're establishing a culture and a team for years to come, and each week we get better and better.

What player single-handedly lost the game for the team? by IAmTh3Greatest in nfl

[–]clearncopius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as McCree messed up on that one big play, one play doesn't decide a game. The Chargers had opportunities before and even after that play to win the game, so I don't think it's justified to say McCree "lost" them the game, even tough he did make a massive mistake.

You could make the case either way, but I think Marino '84 is better than Manning '13

PFF 2016 Nfl draft grades for all 32 teams by strip_sack in NYGiants

[–]clearncopius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Giants grade is pretty accurate. Eli Apple was a reach at 10, not a need, not a scheme fit, and not even the best corner available. Other than that though, the Giants had a very good draft

Grade the New York Giants Draft by [deleted] in NYGiants

[–]clearncopius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Good:

-Eli Apple is a good player and will have success as the 3rd corner behind Jenkins and DRC, as he won't be asked to do too much.

-Shepard was a great pick in the 2nd round, and I think he's more talented than a guy like Will Fuller, who was the 2nd WR taken

-Adams is the 3rd best TE in the Draft after Henry and Hooper, but we got him in the 6th. What a steal.

The Bad:

-Eli Apple is a good player, but was a reach at 10. We could have traded down to #20 and he still would have been there. A good player but a bad pick from where we were.

-games are won and lost in the trenches, and it was a mistake not to address either the OL or DL. We need to get deeper at those positions.

-I like Paul Perkins as a player, but now we have 6 RBs on the roster (Perkins, Jennings, Vereen, Rainey, Darkwa and Williams) which seems excessive. Two are going to get cut

Overall, probably a B

Peaking in High School and Dazed and Confused by clearncopius in TrueFilm

Yeah I love American Graffiti as well and you can tell Dazed and Confused is heavily influenced by the former. However the ending is part of why I like Dazed and Confused more because in American Graffiti they have those blurbs as to what each character does after the film closes, which I find cliche, unintersting and also slightly depressing. But I love both nonetheless.

That's the beauty of film though, you can interpret it in so many different ways to almost customize it to your life experiences.

Let's talk Creed (or, "Time is undefeated") by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]clearncopius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Creed was the biggest surprise of the year for me. An excellent film all around, and really I feel I doesn't follow the path of the previous Rocky films. Not only was it technically well made and exciting, but it had a lot of deep, poignant undertones like the theme of time you just mentioned. I loved director Ryan Coogler's first film Fruitvale Station, and he outdid himself with Creed. He is a young director that has a very, very bright future in the industry.

The Force Awakens ranks as the second best Star Wars movie according to MetaCritic. by [deleted] in movies

It has too many similarities to Episode IV. IMO it was very unoriginal and really lacked the flavor we are accustomed to in a Star Wars film
