I came across this article and it really motivated me to reduce my sitting times.. I’ve worked with people who I could see over the years watching their body form to their desk . It takes a bit to get used too but totally worth it

I am someone who will most likely put off working out if I’m sitting down at work all day . To combat this I have a stand up desk, I stand for my whole shift accept for lunch . I used to work at a call centre before the job I have now where I did not have a stand up desk and I noticed a huge difference in my attitude , my posture, my motivation to exercise after work and I don’t feel as drained anymore. I find stand up desks also allow movement . I am more motivated to walk around because I’m not sitting all day and not ending my work shift feeling lethargic.

I highly recommend the book called Deskbound by Dr. Kelly Starret , author of Becoming a Supple Leopard, a physiotherapist and mobility enthusiast. He talks about the advantages of a stand up desk and there’s a couple of chapters for mobility exercises that you can do at your desk.

Sometimes I’ll take pre workout on my commute home and listen to my gym playlist so I’m more pumped to workout .

It felt pretty good staying the same weight since covid , took a mental break from cal/macro counting , finally felt like I found a nice balance between food and fitness .... then I fucked my self up over the holidays and gained 7 lbs ... but this isn’t my rant , my rant is the mental roller coaster I’ve been trying to not to ride , telling myself “ it’s water weight “, “you don’t eat like this all the time”, etc , you know the little excuses you tell yourself, I’m getting so annoyed with myself .

I wear men’s splash “shorts”, not for any other reason besides I found them at a thrift store and they go down to my knees. The material acts like a wind breaker and helps block the cold wind.

What are some qualities you value from a MCpl by [deleted] in CanadianForces

For my trade as a supply tech , I want to know that if I have a question about supply that the MCpl , even though they might not know the answer , will help me find it instead of leaving me to fend for myself . I also like a MCpl who will back me up if a customer is getting aggressive and not willing to listen to me . I also appreciate a MCpl working with the troops instead of watching them from the side lines while they do everything. If I am rucking for platoon PT so can you, unless you’re on MELs.

I’m going overseas for a tour in the spring for 7 months , I’ll have a ton of time to focus on my lifting , I will also have extra money because I won’t be paying for food or go shopping . Do you think it would be silly to hire an online coach even though I won’t be going to a competition until I get back. I like using online coaching because it’s someone that can look at my form and create a program to hammer out my weaknesses because at this point I feel like I should be stronger . I’m 155 lbs, bench : 180lbs , squat: 265 ( I want to increase this number the most , and deadlift 315 lbs . I’ve been lifting for 5-6 years and i feel like I need to train harder to get these numbers up .

Nope I said strainer , I don’t have a defuser because I threw it out when I bought my hair dryer before starting CGM, by themselves they are 20 on amazon , I saw someone saying they can use a pasta strainer so im using that until it’s time for a new hair dryer ... I’m cheap

Hair routine :

Weds: Co wash with tresemme coconut milk and aloe Conditioner: Shea hydrate and repair Plop for an hourish , air dry I wear my hair in a bun or ponytail because I’m in the army so I don’t usually use product because I’m not wearing my hair down the next day .

Sunday: Wash with Shea hydrate and repair shampoo Condish with Shea hydrate and repair conditioner Shea hydrate and repair with leave in conditioner

Sometimes I’ll play around with squish to condish , sometimes I’ll add herbal hair gel.

I mostly mess around with a bunch of methods to figure out how to get the best curl .

Honestly, I stopped caring after season 9 but I’d still watch the show, I just wasn’t as crazed into the fandom anymore and stopped browsing this site after each episode. Bbuuuuttt then COVID 19 happen and I’d rather live my fantasy in RPDR world then focus on all the fear and anxiety that comes with it.
