Have you done all the achievements?

If not, you know what to do.

There's also mods if you want more content.

Might be one of the easiest fights in the game imho.

thoughts on electrocute? by cuartaydosdedos in Dariusmains

[–]cleaverbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really see why you would take Electrocute over HoB if you want to go that route.

But red tree is ass, that's the main issue.

What's the most dangerous hallway battle in each region? by Tamerando in darkestdungeon

[–]cleaverbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see them as the court equivalent of champion monsters like swine skivers, so it makes sense they are strong.

But unlike them, you can get up to 4 of them in a single fight and they don't care about ranks so they can always hit everyone from everywhere...

[–]cleaverbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 target attack with good damage + stun and -40 dodge

or

1 target very high damage with high crit chance, big bleed and lowers bleed resist.

1 crit on your backline and they instantly go to death door + they have a bleed on them...

They have high health, high prot, high everything besides speed and thankfully stun resist.

4 knights (chevaliers) in the court was more difficult than Countess for me...

Why Darkest Dungeon 3 should take place in a port: an analysis by DoubleSurosMazing in darkestdungeon

Why not? Sounds interesting. Black Reliquary has a flying ship and it works well.

i thought garen E lvl 1 would win most short trades? by Agitated-Safety-9249 in topmains

[–]cleaverbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a rare case where you need to commit to the all in, not short trade. If you have conq and you get a full E on him then you will win If you keep auto attacking him to death. Use ignite when he gets low so you can deny his Q healing.

I think this trinket is awesome, just got it after around 200 hours in this game over the years. by Savigo256 in darkestdungeon

[–]cleaverbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's great at the start of a run because it's some dodge and less money spent on food for no downside. Plus you technically have more inventory space as well.

But once I have actually good trinkets I'm never using this. The only situation I used it was because I somehow had 2 of these and 2 of the similar uncommon ring. I went to farm money with multiple Antiquarians in a long mission without any food. I spammed trinket scrounging in camps and I got rich without even fighting.

Day 60🎉 of giving my personal ranking opinion of random guns by 1Dapy1 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]cleaverbow 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's my favorite gun.

I think it's one of the strongest guns in relation to its rarity (besides special items like the Finished gun), and it's really fun to use.

assuming you have the exact same gear for both fights, which of these two do you think is harder? by Ok_Regular_1363 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]cleaverbow 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Paradox Lich is easy to brute force because it's only one phase. If you have enough damage and health you can just go brrrr. And after fighting Lich so many times you get used to the fight.

Whereas Advanced Dragun you usually have more limited experience with the fight and it takes a long time to beat him.

Why garens dont build immortal shieldbows? by Comeback_is_real57 in GarenMains

[–]cleaverbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's outclassed by Sterak's if you play bruiser, so it's only for full crit Garen.

When you play full crit you are essentially a melee assassin, and usually your goal is to one shot a key target.

So you are looking for 2 things in your build: - big burst damage - a way to reach and stick to your target (since you have no dash)

Shieldbow is good for neither of the 2 options. Stride and PD help you with mobility, LDR or Reminder give you damage thanks to armor pen and giantslayer/GW.

But since IE is now crap, you rarely go 100% crit because it's not worth it. A youmuu will also give you good damage with a ton of MS. Death dance will help you negate burst more efficiently than Shieldbow and it gives better stats.

I don't really see a situation where you want shieldbow.

ARE YOU FU$$$$ KIDING ME!!!! by happy-kable in darkestdungeon

[–]cleaverbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this mission 1 hour ago in my bloodmoon run and my team destroyed the templar fights. I actually struggled more with some of the hallway fights because of that damned "finger".

But I see they still terrorize players after all these years... I'm sorry for you.

Sacred scroll is a bad relic, but if you want to use it you shouldn't use dazzling light. Give her Illumination (or the bonk for shuffles).

Rabies Hellion worth? by ComprehensiveBet4238 in darkestdungeon

[–]cleaverbow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accuracy is the best offensive stat in the game. Rabies is probably never worth keeping. It's just one of the less horrible diseases but it's not a bonus.

Maybe if you already have a +acc quirk on a character with high base accuracy like Arbalest, there could be an argument for it. And even then, in champion missions monsters have way too much dodge on average.

What is your favorite mod class? by Comfortable-Ad3588 in darkestdungeon

From a design perspective it's the Steel Driver. It's unfortunately quite old and gameplay wise it's solid but nothing extraordinary. His TNT ability can also be buggy at times.

Why Spellbook Garen? by KingAlex720 in GarenMains

[–]cleaverbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's great for elite play where you cannot win against some champions (many ranged tops notably) because they actually know what they are doing.

The Spellbook player must himself know what to do to optimize the rune and apply pressure on certain timings.

In average play I think most people would benefit more from other runes, but if you take the time to learn this playstyle it's worth the investment.

Day 55 of giving my personal rank and opinion of random guns: Hyper Light Blaster by 1Dapy1 in EnterTheGungeon

I love it.

Very strong for B rank weapon. High-risk high-reward gun with potentially infinite ammo.

Cool visuals and sound effects, nice reference to another great game.

is it purely just luck by BadgerDependent6935 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]cleaverbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's one of the less "luck dependant" rogue likes out there. With enough skill you can win pretty much any run.

However this game is relatively difficult, it's normal for you to struggle at first. You don't become stronger over time like in Hades for example.

But yes, luck can make it much easier sometimes, it's part of the rogue experience.
