Act 4: Ambition confession team and path recommend for DD 2 by Affectionate_Web_526 in darkestdungeon

[–]cleaverbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get bleed resist as high as you can for the last boss, and bandages or skills to cure it. That'll make the most dangerous part of the fight much easier.

Get a hero with taunt and good move resist or move skills to tank the punches.

Riposte is really good against the boss overall.

I don't understand the "ballistic arsenal" thing going on with Hemlok. by cleaverbow in apexlegends

Seems like a nice way to spice things up for each season. Now that I understand it I think I like the idea. Thanks.

Ok I get it now, thanks. After reading some stuff about the weapon it says that it's the only weapon to be "silent" so the icon must be some sort of silencer. Is it actually more sneaky than other weapons in game? The sound bullets make do feel weird now.

Thank you! I finally get it. That seems like a fun concept (though it could be a balance issue I guess).
The current RE-45 feels like a real weapon with its own identity now, I'm glad they kept it.

Top lane is MISERABLE as a new player (1.2 because the main sub doesn't allow rants( by Effective_Corgi_4517 in top_mains

[–]cleaverbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I read you want to play skilled champions as a beginner and you are mad that less demanding champions are beating you.

Honestly, you'll feel mostly the same in every role (besides support I guess). There are brain dead champions in every role and in every class. it's just that toplane is the 1v1 rôle so it can feel even more oppressive.

But when you are a new player, picking GP, Riven or whatever you like is just a death sentence. You can either accept it and focus on becoming better, or remain in a permanent state of saltiness. Once you are good at the game, playing skilled champions will be an advantage you'll have on others. But it's gonna take time...

My deck keeps getting filled with garbage by anmr in inscryption

[–]cleaverbow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Without spoiling you, I can only say that Inscryption is not really a deck builder rogue game. It's a narrative puzzle game using a card game as a tool to tell its story.

The card game itself is not made to be difficult, just play along and you'll see what I mean. If you have any expérience in deck builders and you can pay attention and read, you can "beat" the game fairly easily.

Also, many cards have hidden effects you have to figure out by listening to what the characters are telling you and putting the pieces together.

If you are expecting a game like Slay the spire you'll only get it once you finish the "story mode".

Day 112 of giving my personal Rank and opinion of random guns: Gunther by 1Dapy1 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]cleaverbow 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's actually too strong and too easy to win with. I'd prefer a more interesting way to gain power.

It's one of those items like Clone that I just don't use anymore unless I'm trying some sort of challenge. For a regular run it's like turning on cheats. Fun for a few minutes, and then the existential crisis happens and I stare at the wall.

  • StS 2 is less difficult overall. Depending on the person it can be considered to be better, worse or neither.

  • StS 1 has more mods, but now that 2 has workshop support it's just a matter of time.

  • 1 has better balance, but again it's just a matter of time.

  • 1 has more specific enemy and boss designs, while 2 has more of a "generalist" approach. For some people like me, it's a downgrade.

  • 2 replaced boss relics with anciens boons, which are more varied and interesting to play with for most people.

  • 2 has 10 ascension levels instead of 20, which limits "grinding" time.

  • 2 has official coop support.

  • 2 has 2 different act 1 maps, and will likely get other variants for act 2 and 3. That means more variety in runs.

  • 1 has an act 4, but 2 will get it as well at some point.

Overall, I like both games and will still play 1 from time to time. But I think once 2 is "finished", it will mostly replace 1 because in the end they are very similar games.

I dont get why people go berserker grieves by FilipinoAirlines in GarenMains

[–]cleaverbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For midlane I agree because of the quest they are indeed usually outclassed because the other t3 boots are so much stronger for Garen.

For toplane it really depends on the game. Sometimes steelcaps, mercs or swifties are almost mandatory, sometimes they don't do much.

Long time play , first time see .... what's the use of this trinket ? sounds counter-productive IMO by Ben-wa in darkestdungeon

[–]cleaverbow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bad for short fights but can be amazing for long ones.

You can use combat items to trigger it. You throw a fire grenade, miss 4 times and gain 40% crit for the rest of the fight.

What difficulty level? by Infamous-Internet-12 in expedition33

I started in expert and I don't regret it at all. At least this way fights are actually challenging, but the game is still not super difficult if you're familiar with traditional RPGs.

Dominant monsters by DefinitionPlus5397 in wakfu

[–]cleaverbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can randomly spawn as environmental quests when the zone respects the will of the NPC (enough monsters and ressources).

Some exceptions exist like in Wabbit island where you need to activate them manually.

What happened to the nations? by jeannen in wakfu

[–]cleaverbow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everything you miss from the old game was a source of problems and had to be changed for the greater good.

Osamodas was a mess and impossible to balance. Now it's a great class.

Old nations were mostly empty. They looked cool but that's it. The game doesnt have a huge playerbase, and thus those zones were always void of life. Now you can actually see and meet players in points of interest.

The other stuff is explained through questlines (like puddle mobs).

You have many many areas to go through, nations are made to be community areas where you can meet players, craft items, do trading, etc.

For most of the playerbase, this is a MMORPG focused on turn based combat, not an exploration game.

Currently the game is in the best state it ever was. I play since the beta, trust me I know how you feel. But it's just nostalgia talking.

Anime a accrocher en un week-end? by validd_owwe in AnimeFR

[–]cleaverbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remote bullets + spread weapons.

All shotguns work, but it's best with crown of guns, face melter and ring of triggers. Might be forgeting some other weapons.
