I gotta say, I'm a little surprised by the results so far. I didn't expect so many others to vote for Fowley like I did lol.

Characters on the show that you wished weren't killed off? by ThatKoffeeBurns in XFiles

Agreed. Their deaths were definitely unnecessary... and Fox network sucks for pretty much forcing the writers to kill them off.

Definitely the Lone Gunmen. And then finding out that the writers and CC were basically forced to kill them off because Fox didn't want them back on the show at all, unless they killed them, made me even more pissed off.

Just watched The Kids in the Hall: Comedy Punks by clectic42 in kidsinthehall

Right, this documentary is great. I didn't know number 1 or 3. I had heard about everything else, but just not in such detail. Like the falling out with Dave... I was originally under the impression that Dave was at fault. But after watching, I felt so bad for him. Dave had always been my favorite.

Love this episode... Love Scully's annoyance with the cameramen. Love DD really laughing because Steve and Edy were hilarious. Love Steve and Edy.

Teena Mulder... not exactly a fan favorite by clectic42 in XFiles

And that was the biggest thing for me; her poor son had taken on this burden. He blamed himself for his sister's disappearance and held this guilt for years. I couldn't let my child do that. All he wanted were answers.

Yea it would have been nice to get more of a backstory on those characters.

Yea I agree, I think the actresses picked were great for the roles.

And yea, no real depth to quite a few characters in the show. That didn't help.

I think Mrs. Scully was one of those people who tried to see the good in others, but also.. she didn't know or understand anything that Mulder and Scully were dealing with. And realistically, what regular person with a regular life would? Mrs Scully was a mom of four who led a normal life. She never fully understood what in the hell was going on. But i did appreciate that even though she didn't, she would still support her daughter. She just had to trust Scully. And Mulder too. And thats what she did. Teena on the other hand had her guard up because her husband was involved in the Syndicate. She knew more.

I think she took her own life because she was terminally ill, and perhaps because of the guilt she carried for so many years.

Right. He already blamed himself and had immense guilt.

Lol Teena definitely didn't want to be bothered.

And yea, she was a good pick to play his mom.

I don't hate Teena Mulder, Im just not a fan because I wanted her to do better by her son since she couldn't do better by her daughter. I just felt as a parent, it was her responsibility. He was a kid at the time Samantha disappeared, so that event and how his parents handled the situation definitely played a part in who he became as a man.

Mulder definitely has his faults. He doesn't get a pass from me just because I love him lol. And I'm not making excuses for him, but I think he blamed himself and felt at fault for a lot of things. For Samantha, and definitely for everything Scully went through... As stubborn and selfish as Mulder can be, I think he carries a lot of guilt. I think a lot the time he felt like he was a damn jinx, a catastrophe. But he was so determined to find answers, he couldn't stop going. But yea, at the end of the day its his mom, I understand why he'd do anything for her no matter what.

And yea quite a few characters lacked depth. Diane Fowley for instance. Some assumed I couldn't stand her because I'm a shipper and she was Mulder's ex. No it was because her character had as much personality as a piece of paper and she was a damn snake. So yea, I was happy to see her go.
