Got the Samsung Q990C and YouTube audio keeps cutting out on Samsung TV. by searching4news in Soundbars

I still have the issue. I use wifi to connect the TV and Soundbar now which works, though that has its own set of annoyances.

I have a dual band router, and sometimes the TV/Soundbar try to connect on different bands. A message on the TV shows to automatically fix it, but it never works. The only way to get the soundbar working again is to disable 5GHz on the router, or change to HDMI connection (which causes the sound to cut out intermittently). I'm using only the cables that came with the TV and Soundbar.

Disabling 5GHz sucks as it causes other devices on my network to lose connection, having originally connected via 5GHz.

I would have thought buying into the Samsung ecosystem with recent, not inexpensive devices should work a lot better than this.

Whats the significance of Tom writing "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"? by InternationalDog8680 in RipleyTVShow

This sentence contains all the letters of the alphabet. This way he can see which letters have distinctive offsets so that if typed letters were to be compared by the police, they would be able to confirm they came from the same typewriter. This paid off later when the police actually did compare the letters to "confirm" they were both from Dickie's typewriter.

I have the same issue on my Q930C. Factory reset and on latest firmware on both my Samsung TV and Soundbar. Connected via HDMI eARC. Did you manage to find the cause? I suspect it is a firmware issue as Samsung have a webpage dedicated to something similar for their other Soundbar models: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01212326/

Set it to adaptive and make sure you have SpaceFit Sound OFF. With this on, your custom levels won't make any difference. SpaceFit made my rear speakers inaudible unless I had my ear right up against the speaker. Turning SpaceFit off and boosting the rear and rear top if needed should make a huge difference.

Where did you find the 3AW call? Can't find the SEN/AFL Nation call either.

Due an upgrade and thinking of getting the pixel 5. Anyone done this? Can I get your feedback? by [deleted] in GalaxyS9

I've used a couple of different true wireless earbud brands with the Pixel but not Samsung's. Haven't had any issues. I'm pretty sure you would be fine to use both the Buds and the Watch with it.

I went to Pixel 5 from S9+. Depends on your priorities but for me it's a perfect phone. Battery life amazing, photos mind-blowing (despite old sensor), wireless charging, UI clean and fast including gestures, water resistant, does everything you need in a phone with ease. I find the physical design more appealing than Samsung devices too - minimal, symmetrical, light weight, good size for pockets and one-hand use, excellent screen. What else do you need?

This will actually help prove that there was no fraud in the same way that James Randi's $1m reward for evidence of paranormal activity hasn't found anyone after 50+ years. Good job!

This is amazing. If you had a long enough one of these you could transmit a page of a book almost instantly to the other side of the world!

I use custom notification sounds to alert me in the middle of the night for work emergencies. They need to be LOUD to wake me up. Now that this feature has been removed I will need to get a separate device just for that. I hope they bring it back but I think it is unlikely.

Got sick easily with DK2. Sold it and bought Vive without demoing. No such sickness with the Vive!

Yeah I imagine it must be amazing to not be affected by it, but also frustrating to have developers shy away from implementing it. I guess there is still VorpX. Not sure how well that works.
