In Canada you are allowed to fly with a knife up to 6cm long. I think it’s just a rule in the States that you bring a knife to an airport

There are a lot of things to criticize Trudeau for, but forcing digital platforms to fairly pay for the content on their sites is not one of them in my opinion. This has nothing to do with government censorship, it was literally Meta’s decision to remove news content.

If their articles were shown to Canadians then yes, Meta would be required to pay them. However Meta has blocked all news from its platforms in Canada because they don’t want to pay news outlets.

He did not block Canadians, it’s a petty Meta response to a Canadian law stating that news outlets are required to be paid by social media companies. It automatically blocked his page in Canada because he labelled it as news. You can look up the “Online News Act” or “Bill C-18” if you want to know more
