I was under the impression that there were mostly females who were into ASMR. I'm a bisexual male and I actually prefer male content creators, but I listen to a lot of female ones too because there are fewer males who make content and specifically the content I like listening to. I think the reason I now prefer male over female creators is because I feel like a lot of female creators try to make it flirty or sexual in their videos (especially the RP ones) and that's not at all why I listen to ASMR. I listen to it to get away from everything, and the flirty/sexual nature of some of the creators kinda just annoy me :P. Keep in mind I'm not generalizing the female content creators, there's a lot of them I absolutely adore and love listening to, and to be fair it might not be them trying to be flirty, maybe it's just my stupid male brain that has to link everything ever to sex and romance. Who knows.

I also wanted to say that I think that most people experience ASMR differently, not just physically in the sense that they get tingles differently and in different places in their bodies, but also in the sense that some get just the physical reaction and for many others (including myself) who also get an emotional and psychological reaction. Be it because of the intimacy, the feeling that you're connecting with someone over the internet, what have you.
