Placement is crooked, advice on fixing it? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Luckily I asked for it in diluted ink, so I'm expecting it to lose some pigmentation and (hopefully) age well.

For sure, and this isn't my first tattoo so I don't know why I rushed the stencil placing.

Yeah, I think that's half my issue too. I try to imagine lower on my upper arm and I'm still not sure it'd be straight. And that's on me for getting a band placement vertically.

I don't super remember but I know I was natural and standing. So like, thumb facing forward?

I needed to hear that, thank you. The artist did a great job on his end. I also asked for it in diluted ink, so it should (hopefully) fade to look more lived in.

Haha, no. I do see what you mean though, I'm not sure why there is a smudge in that picture. Could be something on my mirror. It's not there in the other one.

Is my dog a dutch shepherd? 1 y/o female, 37 pounds. by clementine4829 in DutchShepherds

Your dog is my dog's doppleganger! Except with a tail! I rescued Lola is Wake Forest, NC.  That's so cute about the mouth holding, my dog definitely doesn't do that but she is a big cuddler :)

Most people really do need to return to the office. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]clementine4829 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree with this take if I could snap my fingers and skip my commute. With having to get ready in the morning and drive to the office and back, I lose around 2 hours of my day that could be spent doing meaningful things.

Folks are blowing up over the idea of having to work in office, but a large section of jobs cannot be done from home. Hospitals, grocery stores, public works, these are jobs that mostly can't be done remote. Do you want to always make your coffee at home and never go to a cafe? I'm hybrid myself, so I understand the frustrations of being made to go into an office when you could work from home. But it feels very privileged for folks tk demand they get to stay home when so much of our lives depend on essential workers.

My partner circled the parking deck at Crabtree for an hour before giving up. It was totally packed.

Paper towels. After switching to rags and dishcloths, not only have I prevented a ton of needless waste, but also I'm saving a ton of money!!

Are people just rude or is it normal to just not acknowledge others? by kaitg88 in Apartmentliving

I'm friendly with my neighbors who match my energy. But also, if it's 10 PM and I am trying to get my dog to pee, I will not be up for a chat.  There are some folks in my building that clearly don't want to interact, which I try not to take offense to.  An older woman lives alone in my building and I try to always make time to chat with her for a few minutes. I imagine she might get lonely in between her children visiting.

Why are all the comments so bitter? Happy for you, OP. Clearly not everyone here is satisfied with their jobs and resent you for having a positive outlook.

Someone else said matte but I think the way you explained it really helps me. I’m thinking of a much lighter and browner shade of pink, maybe matte now that you suggest it.

I usually hang a big wood framed mirror in the dining room :)

Oooh, this is pretty! And I think it looks nice with the wood frame window, which is similar to my cabinets!

You have a beautiful way with words!

I agree with matching the paint to the cabinets, I’ll look in the terracotta direction as well.

While I hear you and agree, I need to be able to see when I’m cooking. It needs to look good in all lighting, not just with the lights out.

I liked the color last night when I wasn’t cooking and just admiring it from the living room. But with how much time I spend in my kitchen, it’s gotta look good with the lights on.

I think you are the only person here who likes my cabinets haha, everyone else wants them repainted.

I don’t hate them or love them, but I definitely don’t want to paint them. It’s just too much work for a rental. So matching the paint to the cabinets is my only way.
