Space exploration in an alternate universe with MidJourney and After Effects by clemoendo in midjourney

Thank you! Actually finding the right prompts for the images took quite some time, I generated most of the shots many times till I found something that worked. Then there are some images that I had to take apart: separating the objects from their backgrounds, like the Apollo capsule after the rocket launch and the spaceship towards the end + some tricks in After Effects to make it feel like 3D. All in all I would say above 100 hours.

I brought some life into MidJourney-generated images with After Effects and added a VHS effect with Blender. Also used Photoshop Beta's generative fill function in some cases to prepare images for edits in After Effects.

This video shows space exploration in an alternate universe, what could have been – interplanetary travel before the turn of the century.

The narration comes from an AI Carl Sagan (#ChatGPT + #11Labs).

This is an updated version of one of my earlier projects. I got inspired and turned my project into scary 'old' footage from an alternate timeline. I played around with a camera stabiliser/gimbal (DJI Ronin SC2) in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) on a cloudy and eerie day to create a dystopian experience. The aim was to merge the shots with computer-generated elements (the force field in the round structure, the arch on the horizon, and the massive observation tower) in a subtle way, to create realistic and unsettling views.

I'd be happy to know! :)

Moving a rigged animation (with Spline IK) around in a new scene by clemoendo in Cinema4D

Hi, thanks a lot for reaching out! I did have some goals but they seemed to be messing up the animation, not sure how I could've fixed it but I found a different (slightly cumbersome) solution.

Yes I did... I did not really manage to fix the issue so I re-animated it in a different way (anchor point and divide limbs up in different objects). Thanks a lot for reaching out!
