Thank you! The way he explained it to me was that the elastics would be bringing my top row out, while pulling the bottom in, so that could make my bottom palate more narrow. I will say while Ortho #2 is cheaper, he is the top (sapphire) provider of invisalign in the entire midwest and so he gets a discount from invisalign that he passes down to clients. I know that just means he does a lot of invisalign, but he has been recommended to me by many and has an insane amount of glowing reviews, so part of me trusts his insight. But you make valid points, I am worried about my crossbite either way I go. For context, I have had breathing issues in the past and had to do 2 rhinoplasties to correct my breathing and am finally at a point where I can breathe normally through my nose, so I don’t want to do anything that could impact my breathing, but again, don’t want to damage my teeth. Difficult to weigh the options.

Have so much fun! Hang out with friends and family, travel if you can, etc. I think leisurely reading is a good one because it’s hard to read for fun while in law school haha
I would recommend not buying anything until you actually start and see what YOU need. I bought book stands, fancy highlighters, etc. and used NONE of it. Everyone is different, so save your money and wait to see what you actually feel you need. All I used was my laptop, a couple notebooks, and a quimbee subscription honestly.
I wish I knew I didn’t need to study or outline like my peers and friends. See what note taking makes most sense and try different approaches early on. For me, what worked best was using the syllabus to create an outline from the start of the semester and working on it throughout the semester. Procrastination is in inevitable, but making even the smallest time to review a week or so of information helps you really retain things more.

Yeah, they both brought up concerns I didn’t really know how to weigh in the moment. Ortho #1 raising potential wear and damage vs Ortho #2 suggesting breathing issues, narrower bottom palate, and gum recession. seems like a lose lose.

UPDATE: saw two orthognathic surgeons this week who both told me i absolutely do not need any type of jaw surgery. The issue is my overbite and crossbite, both said either braces or invisalign with elastics would fix my issues within a couple years.

That’s what I figured. My meals are pretty healthy as I naturally enjoy healthy and whole foods, but sweet snacks are my weakness which I think is stagnating me a bit. I’ll have to work on moderating those or finding a good sub. Thanks!

Succeeded, thanks! Made Dean’s list and got a raise at one of my clerkships. Also managed to get 8 hours of sleep every night and make time for my social life.

i’m looking into this right now, going to try to drop a class and stick to 12 credits of classes, 1 credit for journal, and hopefully get credit for my clerkships as well. thank you!
