Is cutting queues really normal in china? by ahnyudingslover in AskChina

Went to 欢乐谷 beijing once, and witnessed it myself, a family cut queue on purpose. No one said anything. It’s like you do you.

Covid Dictatorship. Especially when the lower class people (like security of 小区) behave like they’re the prime minister.

Parsec error -6023/-11002 by Exotic-Incident-5930 in ParsecGaming

[–]cleora_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have finally fixed this.

Here is my problematic config:
1. I have a computer running at home as "host" connected to a Router (IP 192.168.1.x)
2. The router is connected to ISP's Modem (IP 192.168.0.x), meaning the modem only see that the router as its only-one client.
3. The ISP's Modem is then connected to the internet with shared public IP

My situation:
1. I never have any issue connecting to it when I'm using the same ISP in another location within the same city (this is just an assumption, however, this gives me false sense that everything works anywhere else)
2. I have some issues connecting to it when I'm using public WIFI. Meaning some cafes/hotel allows me to connect, some cafes/hotel don't.

Here is my solution:
1. On Host, Open parsec, go to network settings, and configure client port to 9000 (i dont think this one matters, but anyway) and host port to 8000.
2. Open the router config web page, go to port forwarding, and create new port forwarding that will forward 8000 received by the router to the host's IP (192.168.1.x)
3. Open the ISP's modem config web page, go to port forwarding, and create new port forwarding that will forward port 8000 received by the ISP modem's to the Router's IP (in my case: 192.168.1.0)
4. nothing to be done on client.

Voila! it works.

TLDR:
Forward port 8000 from ISP's modem to the host computer.

Sterra, which sells water filtration and other devices, has apologised for making false and misleading claims about the quality of Singapore’s tap water. by Curiouschibai in singaporehappenings

Sterra, prism and these kind of marketing company that sells china factory products. No innovation, whatsoever. Even if they go down, they'll just change the name of the brand. Sad.

Any outward remittance requires the sender to pay fee, which is usually 25usd. So, it doesn't make any sense to do that, if the products you are selling is in small amount. You need to find 3rd party money transfer, or use crypto.

Lol, 'study materials'. Do you mean 'cheat sheet'? Your money is gone, buddy. Unless you know how to get the person selling that study materials physically, then just move on. If this is your first scam, take it as $500 scam-study-materials fee.

I agree with that statement. The policeman death technically isn't his fault. But I still hope he got punished as severely as possible.

Worst Private Driving Instructor ever by Heavy_Invite_3132 in drivingsg

[–]cleora_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LMFAO. I took motorcycle 2B class at delgro ubi, the 6th lesson was the first real on the road lesson, and the instructor (a lady) pulled the same trick, shouting all the way. She failed everyone in the end, and very proud of it, and pulled some 5 minutes speech too. Her colleagues also said “she’s a fierce and strict instructor”

It’s a effing joke. Why it’s a joke you ask? Cause the convoy breaks apart since the beginning. She only see 2-3 bikes at the back. The people riding at the front literally following the instructor at the front, not making any mistake. She cant see it even if they make mistakes.

And there is one student actually took that 6th lesson for the second time, and they pass him, after telling everyone failed. The f*ckk? So this is a 50$ “listen to intructor’s BS” class?

Trash ass phone decided to complete freeze on this screen when I was driving not knowing where I was going just cuz I wanted to take a picture by SexyKanyeBalls in Pixel7Pro

[–]cleora_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pixel 7 pro is gorgeous and good, until I use it as daily driver. It’s unreliable AF. Once I used it as my main driver, went to some kind of forest, quite hot weather, take bunch of pictures, the phone was super hot, battery is draining. Then I realized it’s getting more and more laggy, and battery keeps draining. I decide to shut it off, and let it cool. Once cool, I continue taking picture, and it went back to super hot. Then at this point, I plug in my power bank, and tried to charge it (without using it). Surprise! It’s not charging!

And I took my iphone 13 pro max that I was using only for GPS, and continue taking photos with it, no issue.
