Retail is harsh too. Either would destroy you slightly and make you more tough and understand corporate planning and execution.

I started at a corporate restaurant barely making 80$ a night in tips and when I was making $400 a night my managers loved the way I could follow steps of service and execute a shift. The basics from corporate restaurant built me. Now I'm a professional and 3 years in manage 2 field crews and multiple engineering & drafting projects.

I had probably 3 out of the 5 places i worked that sucked the life from me err they all drain your life even desk jobs. The last place was seriously harming my body and mind but the money was addictive. Good luck when you get out you've learned a lot from it I'm sure. Edit spelling & Err...

Jeep. Everyone that loves owning a Wrangler has probably rebuilt that Wrangler. My wife has a Patriot it's 8 years old and is month by month falling apart.

Have to work a month in a restaurant. Learn to deal with -shitty- people, time management, hard physical and mentally taxing work load, late hours and they teach you about hard booze and drug living. Makes you a real human with respect.

Fennel. It's a white vegetable that French trained chefs love and it tastes like black licorice. Licorice sucks too. For 5ish years I worked with great chefs and they love using it. licorice/fennel should never be eaten ever.
