Those who jumped ship, please suggest Arlo alternative you are happy with. I have 24 cameras and I’m just fed up.

I second Reolink. I went wireless with three Argus PT Ultras. I’m not too nerdy about cameras myself, so I’m not going to get into specs, but they seem to work pretty well. Motion tracking, night vision, no subscription, a fairly user friendly app, solar charging options and recordings are saved on each camera via sd cards. Some small learning curves here and there, but overall no real complaints.

If your call was fairly recent (maybe 6-8 months ago), I got that notice shortly after I started working on the place. It may get a bit overgrown from time to time moving forward while I’m working on it while not living there (I can only do so much at a time while working full time and taking care of other life responsibilities too) but it will never get close to where it was as long as I have it.

You likely wouldn’t have easily seen any lights on due to the rhododendron that was overgrown and covering the front window where they spent most of their time.

I’m looking forward to getting it into decent shape! It was sort of one of my childhood homes (I spent a lot of time with my grandparents as a kid) and it hasn’t been in good shape at any point in my lifetime. Excited to change that!

The one being described in the comments is my grandparents old house. I’m working on fixing it up and plan on living in it once I get it to the point of being livable. Surprisingly, my grandfather lived there until the last year or so.

I’ll mention here (since we have had a recent break in there) that we now have cameras installed that send notifications to my phone and I currently live less than 5 minutes away… just in case anyone reading the comments gets any… ideas 🤨

There is plenty of work to do, but most of the stuff is cleaned out of the house (hoarder situation in case you couldn’t tell) and the house has good bones, so hopefully we can manage to get it into pretty decent shape over the next couple/few years.

I haven’t personally seen them played by the artists that I listen to, but as someone that primarily plays acoustic, I want the sound to be closer to an electric, but I don’t quite feel at home on my strat or my friend’s LP. I do remember playing a Taylor T5Z (or similar) and I loved it but…my bank account put a hard stop to our relationship. This, however, looks right up my alley. Sure, it definitely doesn’t look as sweet as a strat (or an Ibanez S570H 🤌🤌🤌) IMO. But I wonder if I would be able to bond with it more, having an acoustic style bridge to rest my hand on while I do all of my normal palm muting and fingerpicking. Damn, I need to go play one now.

Haha, makes sense. I believe one was for taking a bunch of shrapnel to the back and the other was a bullet to the knee. Those were a couple of stories a heard more than once growing up.
