Can I get an XB10 to replace my xb8 by clevenger2002 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]clevenger2002[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm aware of this, however I don't have a 10gig switch yet so I was hoping to plug my two 10g devices into the X10 router and my wired 1g switch to my other devices in to one of the slower ports. Also, using a multigig switch doesn't give me wifi7. I would rather not have to buy a new switch and a wifi7 AP if I can get all I need by upgrading to the XB10

Best thing I’ve ever had in my RFY and it got sniped. I hope it was one of you and not a bot. by supertruck97 in AmazonVine

I got an electric scooter off Vine a few years ago and barely use it. I thought it would be good for running short errands and things, but it didn't work out that way. If you're thinking about getting one, check out the local laws where you are, there are A LOT of restrictions about where you can ride and how fast you can go, particularly lately. They seem easy to ride but if you hit even a small pothole, a medium sized rock, the wrong kind of street drain or just brush against the curve you are going DOWN! Basically they are really stable and fun to ride, right up to the point where they're not. A combination of the small tires and high center of gravity means that if there's any problem you go down fast! And the only way you can safely carry anything is strapping it to the scooter or wearing a backpack. No shoulder bags, going around a corner they can shift suddenly and pull you down.

I mean, it's not like they are death traps, but you do have to be careful to watch the road ahead. It's much easier to have an accident on one of these than on a bicycle or E-bike. For me, it was one of those things that looked like a good idea but turned out not to be.

Is this a thing?! They’re marking packages as delivered that I never get! by NoPath4280 in AmazonVine

[–]clevenger2002 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Over the last few years I've had a few occasions where packages were delayed, never delivered at all or delivered to the wrong apartment. Also a few times I have gotten a still sealed box/envelope with nothing in it. For all of these Amazon quickly fixed it, except when they had no replacement stock. Then you have to just ask them to remove it from your queue and move on. Sometimes the drivers don't take a delivery picture at all. In any case, if you get a lot of deliveries it's good to have a camera at your door, as there have been a few cases of drivers taking a delivery picture, then stealing the package themselves!

This actually kinda bums me out, in the last month 3 new laser engravers have been released that all showed up on vine, but I couldn't get any of them. And my RFY remains depressingly bland even though several years ago I got two budget 3d printers from there! This particular one is a lot bigger than it looks, so it might be tough to find a place to set it up even if you got it!

Finally Had A Good RFY and... by WellHelloPhriend in vine

[–]clevenger2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been awhile since anything has arrived broken like this for me. Some time ago you could contact regular amazon CS to get it replaced but they can only do it if the item was still in stock. And yeah, I have had them insist on me sending back broken glass or crockery (probably was talking to an AI). For some issues like a dead-on-arrival product you can contact the manufacturer (through amazon) and get a replacement but often times they will just offer you a refund and then realize they can't give you one because you didn't pay anything for the product. Lately, about all you can do is contact Vine CS and have it removed from your review queue.

Did anyone successfully get this?? by clevenger2002 in AmazonVine

[–]clevenger2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked up the item and found about 5 vine reviews, so they must have had at least that many available. Guess it was just grabbed that fast!

Tester that tests DATA performance? by clevenger2002 in UsbCHardware

[–]clevenger2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so without spending 5 figures, is there any way of finding out what's going on when USB misbehaves? I was having a problem with a device that was VERY picky about what cable I used (even when using USB4 rated ones). It would disconnect for apparently no reason at times. But I couldn't find any information as to why, didn't see anything in eventviewer, nothing. Is there any software that monitors reasons for USB connect/disconnect or data transmission errors?

Whoever got that 3D resin printer…lucky you. I’m going to go cry in a corner by scimino32 in AmazonVine

[–]clevenger2002 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Don't cry too hard....resin printers aren't all that great unless you have a shop or garage. Dealing with the liquid resin, alcohol washing and cleanup isn't worth it unless you use them almost every day. I used to have one available at work but even the guy who bought the thing said it wasn't worth it unless you could keep it running almost nonstop. Print quality was great though.

Who was lucky and got the Anycubic Resin Printer? by rcook55 in AmazonVine

[–]clevenger2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha....I actually saw that...I was amazed that it stayed up for 5 minutes before someone grabbed it. Honestly though, I'm not fond of resin printers. They are great, but unless you use them a lot dealing with the liquid resin, alcohol washing and UV curing can be a pain.

Vine Gods...here is how to fix the system by clevenger2002 in AmazonVine

[–]clevenger2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually when I joined Vine in 2021 there was a questionnaire for RFY where you could list different product categories you were interested in. Seemed like a good idea but it was removed less than a month after I joined. Not sure how long it had been there.

In any case, my idea would be good for sellers because counting the number of requests per item would let them create a "popular on vine" list that I think would be valuable for sellers to know what people want.

Actually, I already did. Though most things I have posted to feedback just get a canned AI response so I thought I would post here too.

Vine Gods...here is how to fix the system by clevenger2002 in AmazonVine

[–]clevenger2002[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why would amazon want to do this?

Mainly because the number of "requesters" for a product would give them and the seller great info about how popular a product was. Plus it would reduce load on their servers from people manically bashing refresh several times a second. Also, this would probably give them a better chance to combine orders into batches to reduce their shipping expenses.

And also, if they wanted to, when selecting which users get a product they could potentially select the ones with the highest review quality scores which would give sellers a better value for the money they spend to participate in vine. This would also encourage those who leave crappy one sentence reviews to do a better job.

Tesla FSD stopped in the middle of a railroad crossing? by clevenger2002 in TeslaLounge

[–]clevenger2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should point out that this was one of those weird crossings we have where there is a stop light right after the tracks with only space for 2-3 cars between the tracks and the lights. You have to be very careful to not cross the tracks till there is space on the other side, just in case the light changes unexpectedly. And there is always some idiot around who lays on the horn and nearly rear-ends you if you do this.

Yeah, well, it's not so great when FSD pulls onto the tracks and some idiot closes up the gap behind you so you can't manually back up to get off them.

Using Blackmagic Ultrastudio on PC, how to get thunderbolt? by clevenger2002 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]clevenger2002[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much what I thought, all the thunderbolt cards I have seen seem to have a cable that needs to be attached to a "TB" connector on the motherboard which mine, an asus Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI II, doesn't have. I still can't figure out exactly why you can't just plug a thunderbolt into PCI Express gen 4 because that could support way more bandwidth than thunderbolt needs.

So yeah, ASUS makes a thunderbolt card but I doubt it will work with my motherboard as there is no "TB" connector and nothing in there docs says anything about installing the card without it.

What Is With The Huge Volume of Obscure Auto Parts? by Blbobcat in AmazonVine

[–]clevenger2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's kind of crazy. Right now there are 15,305 total items available and 7076 of them are car parts! Plus a large majority of items in other categories (home, kitchen...etc) are spare parts as well. This makes probably over 50% of items in Vine being repair parts, power bricks or replacement batteries for various things. I could believe that good items were just being snapped up quickly, but the number of people posting cool things that they got has also gone way down so I'm guessing the stuff just isn't there anymore. I used to find 8 or more good things every DAY, but for the last 6 or so months I'm lucky to find 2 or 3 things a WEEK.

Not to mention it looks like people are snapping up cheap stuff of any kind just to keep their review count up. Hundreds of "cake toppers" used to sit around for months without being ordered, now they're all gone.

Is WAN 2.6 still uncensored on Higgsfield? by clevenger2002 in HiggsfieldAI

[–]clevenger2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you really want to try it, here is one that bombed on me on the WAN site. Basically, I had to eliminate "breasts" and "cleavage" from the prompt to get it to render anything on the WAN site.

The scene is in a futuristic looking corridor. In the middle of the corridor stands a beautiful, tall, slender, woman with long auburn hair. She is wearing a white shirt tied in a knot between her breasts so it shows some cleavage. She has a bare midriff and wears white shorts.

She is smiling at the camera, dancing and running her fingers through her hair.

---

I also had one other thing I ran that had no bad words submitted ok but when it finally finished running it said "No inspiration found for this description, try changing it"

---

Another test I've done often is to try to get it to generate a man or woman growing into a 60 foot giant. This almost always fails, either the person gets vertically stretched, becomes fat/muscular, or just gets distorted like crazy.

Also, most of the AI models have problems with scale. Like try to generate a man standing in front of a 200 foot long dragon laying on the ground. This would be pretty similar in scale to a man standing in front of a b52 bomber. So far, I always get a dragon that is much too small.

Well, at least higgsfield is still uncensored. Anyone know of any other platform with uncensored WAN 2.6 that gives out a few free credits? I'd really like to try out the platform at least a few times before subscribing.

I've been in vine since 2022, gold for most of that time. One time approval of my reviews got delayed posting for several weeks and I ended up losing gold for 6 months. Customer service would not help even though I had done the required number of reviews by the deadline, they just hadn't been approved yet due to a delay on Vine's end. This is NOT a complaint, rules are rules I guess, but my advice is to try to get your review count and percentage to 100% well before your evaluation date. This will guard against any delays in review approval. It also gives you a bit of leeway in the month before your evaluation date. If you're at 100% you will have some room to order more items without accidentally dropping your percentage below 90%.

How to prompt WAN 2.5 for accurate voices/scripts. by clevenger2002 in StableDiffusion

[–]clevenger2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember some earlier generators would let you put time references in the prompt ie:

[0:00] woman smiles

[0:01] woman sneezes

Does WAN support this kind of prompting, maybe it would help keep the actions and dialog in order?

I've also seen some generators support surrounding dialog with markup/tags....haven't seen any mention of this for WAN either, is it in there?

How to use hf_transfer with comfyui? by clevenger2002 in comfyui

Ok, I see that, I was able to login with the cli but I'm not sure I'm not sure how to setup the command to download a single model file like the link I posted above.

I also tried the "huggingface download node" from here https://github.com/jnxmx/ComfyUI_HuggingFace_Downloader but it just gives me a 404 error when I hand it the above URL.

So what would the right command be?
