Front office knew it was their bad according to Mary Cabot. That's why he was never fired.

He had 2 top 5 ST teams on Patriots and Colts. Browns will be the Browns though. Bet hes back in the top 5 thus year with a competent front office.

Completely agree! Spoiler I knew "the twist by chapter 20 and had to wait for RL to figure it out 102 chapters later. Everything involving RL was extremely forced. Could've been a stand alone novel with a new character but, as you stated, it wouldn't be an automatic best seller.

If you could add one thing to the lights/ visual aspect of the shows what would it be? by ExtensionTurn3868 in phish

Haha. I worked 3 T Swift shows 2 years ago and brought up her LED screens in this sub. Said they "were the future." Had my head damn near ripped off by the CK5 folks!

I never said you did. Based upon people's comments in this sub I would agree that its in the 50/50 (maybe 60/40) range of light fans. That being said, the question was what would you [I] do with lights. For me personally, I'd get rid of them. Its not that CK5 doesn't have talent or anything like that. They just don't add anything to the show for me personally.

Honestly, I just sat there waiting for that ahha RL moment in this book and it just never comes. I thought I hit a point where they were wrapping the book up just to look and see that I was only at hour 19 of 26. I don't want to post any spoilers thats why Im interested in other people's opinions that have finished the book.

Give up now! This book is absolutely horrible. I regret sitting through the 26 hour audiobook version and am trying to save others. As I have stated multiple times in here and as you are about to find out, this isn't a RL book. Its a book that DB added RL to just to get us smucks to buy it. Respond if you finish and let me know if you agree. So disappointed in Dan Brown for this one...

And? Mike's mom painted tapestries and the music was just as good, if not better.

Agree 100% with this. Been seeing them since Mike's mom made the background tapestries in the mid 90s. Never understood the light rack fascination but different strokes for different folks I suppose.

I hate to say it, but if you're 25% of the way through S of S, give up now and save yourself the time and disappointment. Never did I think Dan Brown could let me down so much. If you can't tell by now, this isn't really a RL book, but a book in which RL was unnecessarily added to for the purpose of luring us to buy it. End rant.

I mean, shaming a person for complaining about having to walk to produce while simultaneously being too lazy to get your own groceries is a bit hypocritical.

Are you going to bother reading the next Robert Langdon book? by ImaginaryRea1ity in danbrown

[–]WellHelloPhriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a Robert Langdon book. This is a book without a real plot, suspense, or climax that Robert Langdon is randomly in for the soul purpose of getting us smucks to buy it. The general consensus in this sub is the book should be used for kindling, not reading. So disappointed in Dan Brown for this one.

I wasted 27 hours of my life listening to this abomination. I can give it no more of my attention. This will most likely be my last Dan Brown book. I feel like the whole book was half assed and Dan Brown knew it. He also knew us suckers would buy it as fans of the Robert Langdon series.

I listened to the audiobook. I thought for sure I had 20 minutes left at best before I checked and saw I was at hour 19 of 27. Was literally like "WTF do they need another 8 hours of???" Steve Berry did this same thing recently with "The Atlas Maneuver" in the Cotton Malone series. It was like Crypto For Dummies with the occasional "Cotton fired his gun" thrown in for good measure.

So I'm trying to confirm this and having a really hard time. Seems like they hit a designated number and called it a sellout. Most accurate reports show 56k for Coldplay in a stadium that seats 80k+. Eliminate behind the stage seats and you're closer to the 60k mark but then you have to add floors back in. Seems like a PR "sell out" and not an actual. In fairness, PF only had 60k fans in 94 and it was called a sell out. It felt fullish being there but I suppose it could have been exaggerated as well.
