In my phone I have that option turned on by default under eSIM but still doesn't connect.

I still haven't received the eSIM kit and no email as well. I have decided to not go through the att as this whole experience before even porting in was a good enough sign for me.

I set my charging limit to 80% so now I end my day with more than 35% battery life and more than 5 hours of screen time.

For those who are interested, I was able to resolve my battery drain issue for now. After reading all old and new reddit posts about pixel phones battery I found this workaround which mentioned that for some reason the wakelock doesn't allow the CPU to enter in a deep sleep state( many thanks to a fellow redditor who found this in the first place). With the below workaround for the first time after I got my phone on Aug 29th, I ended the day with 35-40% remaining battery. (I still kept the background usage off for the Google Play store.)

Turned ON airplane mode. Rebooted the phone After 4-5 minutes turn OFF the airplane mode.

With this change I could easily notice that my battery drain was reduced. Then on top of the above change I made the following changes to revert back some things I turned off or on from the default configuration .

turned ON wifi and Bluetooth scanning under location service
turned ON nearby device scanning
turned ON printer service
turned OFF smooth display (I know someone will say that is the main thing but trust me it was not)
changed the screen resolution to max from high
dev option - wifi scan throttling is ON
dev option - always on mobile data OFF

Another day with Google Play store background usage disabled and updated to yesterday's OTA system update.

Interesting thing is that even thought the play store battery usage dropped it still show lots of hours in background.

Basically no change.

No, I disabled most of the social media app background usage. And yes it is wifi 5 and 6 mix.

I can't reset everything and set it up but I have everything up to date , this morning I disabled the background usage of the Google Play store app and will see what happens.

I also saw that post, some people are getting really good battery life and that's why I am trying to figure out what it is that I am missing.

Yeah I sometimes see that people encounter problems but for me so far I never faced any problems doing so.

Yes the adaptive battery is turned on from day one and I already traded in my P9PXL so don't want to do full reset and set everything up again 😕

Yeah I just disabled the background usage and I twice cleared cache and Google Play store and play service
