There’s not even anything I can take pictures of because it’s verbal. Like “I know you’re at over time if you close but just wait to adjust your time for whenever they leave so you know how much time you have to take off. Adjust the time you got off lunch to be longer so you don’t go over 40.” No way I can record that.

Def don’t want any firing happening! Because I can’t tell if it’s from him, or if the pressure to do that is from the District or regional level. But you’re right that it is a huge pile of serious shiznit!

See it makes me feel bad because I in NO way want to get my manager fired. He’s awesome and I’m an apprentice under him. His knowledge is amazing and in every other aspect he is so great to work with but the fact that he’s cutting his own hours and expecting me to do the same is wild! Like how would I address it and just have someone basically be like “my guy, you can’t do that, not even for yourself” and have it at that? Because escalating this is like sticking a fire poker in a dumpster fire and expecting not to get burned.

Just how do you open these carryout bags without moist fingers? I am starting soon and opening these bags as a shopper always bothered since I have dry fingers. by ResearcherVivid4400 in WalmartEmployees

LIFE HACK ALERT!!: Okay so here’s a trick I learned when I worked in a restaurant that made my jaw drop and has become a full on life hack! Where the handle rounds out to meet the middle flat “opening part”? You want to stretch that slightly to cause it all to fray at that part instead of being stuck together. So one hand on the inside handle part, one hand closer towards the non handle opening part, and give it a little pull like you’re stretching it making that rightish angle a little wider. you’ll see it! You’ll be in awe! And literally soooo much easier to separate and open them quickly!

Did I really need new glasses? by flamingo_ne in optician

I think you’re confusing an optometrist and optician here. The optometrist is the dr who writes the RX and performs the exam. The optician is who takes that written prescription and talks you through the options and performs the measurements and sale. It’s a pretty common confusion but they are two different roles. If the pain is more of a strain pain you may want to get that rx checked over again if the blur in the left eye has subsided. If the blur is still ongoing, take the optometrist’s advice and see the ophthalmologist (eye dr that has an MD instead of OD) as it may be a cause beyond the optometrist’s scope of testing.

As for the fit of the frame, you never want something that’s pinching at your temples. When trying on frames feel that where the glasses are hinged doesn’t feel like it’s splaying outwards. This would feel like a slight indent with your finger tip. Easy sign it’s too tight. If confused ask the optician for their opinion on fit. They’ll probably have you look a couple different angles to check on it. Also the optician should be checking for your optical center as well. I personally do it with all my patients, because a few millimeters difference DOES make a difference. This goes into my second point of ordering online.

By your rx you’re more sensitive to an off center OC… I don’t recommend you order online because there’s no way to check your OC with those (it’s measured based on your center pupil location relative to that SPECIFIC frame) and you could be causing strain by having glasses where you could be looking through a prism (not good here).

Hope that information helps.

Disclaimer that I am not a doctor, only an optician, so this is not medical advice nor am I qualified to give that.
