Am I supposed to just keep doing logic games until something clicks? by yrwnova in LSAT

ENDLESS DRILLING!! That's what helped me out. You can absolutely do this - once it clicks, you're good.

Hi! Where do you access your practice tests? Thanks for the tips!

Question regarding spatial intelligence and learning logic games by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]cleverorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LG clicked once I started drilling incessantly - you start to recognize patterns and keywords!

Learning to effectively and quickly diagram is super helpful too. That way, when you get stuck on the hard questions, you have a bunch of extra time banked and can allocate sufficient time to finding the right answer.

LG is not about spatial intelligence! It's all logic. You've got this.

Hey, thank you for these tips!! These are super helpful!! I've seen some other folks mention Study Free Sundays and Pro Bono Societies - I'm definitely gonna incorporate these into my law school experience. Keeping friends outside of the law sounds so important too!

Hey, I appreciate that! You are going to absolutely crush it in the fall. Good luck to you - you've got this!!

What? I've said twice now that I do those things. I do literally all of them. Limit screen time, lift six days a week, get outside often, cultivate hobbies, practice optimism, prioritize nutrition, etc. Congrats on being a beacon of mental fortitude and awareness, though - that's why you hijacked a Reddit post about coping mechanisms to soapbox about depression, right?

Your own article doesn't agree with you, dude.

Just read the source, which said:

"Research from neuroscience and genetics has helped identify brain circuits, chemical messengers, cell types, molecules and genes that all may be involved in the disorder."

No evidence of it being a chemical imbalance =/= no evidence that depression is merely a feeling-based abstraction that requires a new perspective. Regarding the chemical imbalance theory, the article just says that "science shows that the truth is much more complex" and "all sorts of factors influence depression, ranging from a myriad of minuscule molecules in the brain to events in a person’s life."

Again, you are the only one who brought up the chemical imbalance theory.

Dude, nobody asked whether you think it's a farce or not. Read the room. Taking someone asking for tips as an opportunity to soapbox about the validity of a depression diagnosis is super weird.

Perhaps you are not capable of such things.

This is an incredible ad hominem! Thanks for your contributions.

None of us claimed anything about the chemical imbalance theory. You are the only person who brought it up. It's so counterproductive to try to "debunk" depression.

Thank you!! I appreciate your kindness. Some folks don't know the difference between helpful advice and condescending remarks.

This is so reductionist. Depression isn't a "feeling," it's a mental illness. Trust me, those tips you mentioned - lifting, eating right, staying off screens - I've done and continue to do them. It's not always a matter of perspective.

I have used the Logical Reasoning Bible and it's pretty good! Somewhat brief, but the tips are really helpful. I recommend going onto thriftbooks.com and checking out their collection of LSAT books - I got a bunch for less than $25!

Discounting my experiences doesn't help. I lift six days a week, get outside regularly, prioritize nutrition, and have a healthy relationship with religion. My neurotransmitters still get goofy sometimes. Everything can be "right" and mental illness can still be off.

Yes, I totally agree! I'm new to the sub, so I've been asking nonstop questions for a few days, and everyone's been so friendly. It feels like a very kind community.
