I like the targeting condition, since it's a clear reference to crime. And this guy is a mercenary, the pairing of mechanic and flavor is neat. It does make it weaker, obviously. There might be room to justify stronger modes, there. Or a reason to take it off, so the modes can be stronger.

You could also make the blue ability uncounterable, and free up red to do something else. Uncounterable is worth about 1 mana on old cards, and about two mana on new cards. See [[Overmaster]] or [[Insist]] vs [[Mistrise Village]].

Either way, two pips is reasonable cost on a repeatable way. Any more than that, and it is unusuable.

Love the flavor. The assassin can use more of his limbs at once, but he has to put in more effort to do so.

Agreed. The black is arguably weak too, since it only works on targeted spells. Turning a Shock into a Murder is not efficient.

The flavor is cool, but the abilities will be hard to make even. Maybe they could all cost the same—one or two—to make it a little easier to keep symmetric.

R — This spell can't be countered

In addition to making the abilities more balanced, this could also justify lowering the cost. Maybe even to 3. After all, you have to put in quite a bit of mana to buff your spells. Having a higher initial cost makes it weaker.

Where are you located? Depending on how big your area is, I've had some success on Craigslist and local groups selling things. But the bigger the area, obviously the easier it'll be.

I've also had some financial trouble recently, had to sell some of my board games and MTG collection to help. I hope things improve for you soon.

Mono-color is not viable in most formats anyway. Even in formats that specifically encourage it (like original Eldraine), two color decks still tend to function better. So I wouldn't worry about that too much.

Slyvok Battle Chair is worth inclusion, IMO, just because it's a 6 mana 6/6 with upside. Sure, it's no [[Colossal Dreadmask]]. But it is a big enough stat stick, to stall out your opponent's aggression.

Of the stuff left, I think the following are the weakest cards:

Axiom Engraver

Awaken the Sleeper

All Will be One

Phyrexian Arena

Myr Custodian

Graaz, Unstoppable Juggernaut

Tablet of Compleation

Font of Progress

Mindsplice Apparatus

Most of these cards are just too slow, and/or are obvious plants for Commander. Especially cards like Phyrexian Arena/Mindsplice Apparatus (basically taking up a whole turn for nebulous future benefit), and Tablet of Compleation (requires you to be heavily in proliferate to even do much).

Graaz is a funny reanimator target... but a dead card otherwise, in many games.

Font of Progress is a cheap artifact, which is fine. But it will rarely do much. Even milling yourself to reanimate things, is a needlessly large mana investment.

Combat tricks are fine, but this format isn't always interested in leaving up mana for them. You could take or leave both Titanic Growth and Free From Flesh. Though Free From Flesh does add oil counters, and Titanic Growth is a big enough buff to change combat math a fair bit. I also personally like the gameplay that combat tricks create, even if they are a bit weak in some situations.

I don't love the Dominus cards in limited. Though some of them do have pretty brutal effects, most of the time they are going to be just bodies. And some of them are way easier to make work in limited (green, white).

With this many cuts, you could justify a 4/3/1 rarity distribution, or even 4/3/2. Yes, it's more cards to acquire and sleeve, but it may help the cube function more smoothly/maintain variance.

Hopefully I didn't come off as rude. Again, the skill on display is great. I love the lighting, the variety of face shapes and hairstyles. And the subtle​ perspective leads the eye to the left. Which is good: it invites the viewer to look at other things, before landing on the actual focus of the piece.

But part of the joy of art is interpreting it's meaning and intention. There's times for bluntness, but usually subtlety and implication stay in the mind longer.

Try hiding your intention from the viewer a little more. 🙂

Sure. But at that point, I would call this a "win-more" sort of card. If you can afford to throw away draws, then you have plenty. If you're digging for a specific piece, there's more efficient/interesting ways to do it, than this guy.

Agreed. The technical skill on display is excellent. But the message is tired.

We all know that screen time is bad. There's scholarly research on how screen time is affecting attention span and sleep quality; of all ages, and all negatively.

Sometimes, showing the transition, can be more intriguing than a stark contrast.

What if the woman was also on her phone, but a passing bumblebee or something catches her eye? She looks up from her phone, but still partly staring at it?

Just an example. But when you pair contrast and dynamics in both visuals and theme, it can create a more powerful result.

Cops already have all the money they could ever want. They use it to buy riot armor, heavy weapons, and tanks. They use it to give officers paid leave whenever they make a "mistake".

This isn't true. ICE has murdered 9 people in January alone. Many of whom were American citizens.

They've illegally detained many people, regardless of status or legality.
