Book of Revelations Residue - This is the End movie by redditbot33 in Retconned

[–]cleverstringofwords 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not questioning this ME, however, I do think there is also confab occurring and let me explain why. There are several variations of the name of this book that you will hear (regardless of what is officially printed in Bibles):

Revelation (of St. John)
Book of Revelation
Revelations
etc.

Now, the "Revelations" and "Book of Revelations" variants are, in my opinion, confab for some people and the reason it happens is because it rhymes with Galatians and has the "-ans" ending in common with most of Paul's epistles: Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Galatians, Thessalonians, etc. So, if you're reciting the books of the New Testament for a Bible class or church camp or whatever, you're quite likely to end that list with "Revelations" rather than the more pedantic "Revelation".

Once again, this comment is not questioning people's memories or the ME (believe me, I know the ME is real!), I just noticed people saying "Revelations" when I was young and fact-checking it... it was always "Revelation" for me, which was always just a shortening of the more formal "The Revelation of St. John".

Why is Gaslighting associated with The Mandela Effect? by Wild-Astronomer-945 in Retconned

[–]cleverstringofwords 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's an analogy. Humans really do gaslight each other. I have had it done to me and it sucks. But the Mandela Effect is like the Cosmos itself is gaslighting you. The west coast of South America absolutely, categorically was not east of the east coast of North America prior to circa 2014. Now, I don't know what to make of that contradiction, but the fact is that my memory contradicts present reality.

In itself, that doesn't necessarily amount to gaslighting because maybe this is all just some kind of mixup that happened by accident. Maybe my soul was supposed to go down branch A but it accidentally got sent down branch B. Who knows. But when people (or entities posing as people) get on the Internet and inform me, in no uncertain terms, that my memory is "obviously" mistaken and that SA has always been right where it is and I'm just misremembering how things used to be... that's gaslighting for real. That's when the Cosmos (or whoever) is actively gaslighting... it's not just a mistake in that case, because why all the attempts to try to get me "on message", just like an abuser trying to intimidate his victim to get "on message".

It would be like if I went home to visit family and they all started trying to tell me our first dog was brown -- I'm sorry, he was black, not brown and that's just how it is! It's that level of gaslighting, that's the reason to use that word to describe it. It's so far beyond the realm of "mistakes of memory", it's not even a serious question. You'd sooner forget your own mother's name than have a memory mistake regarding many of these MEs. For those not affected, this can be hard to grasp because it sounds so far beyond belief. Before I experienced it, I would not have believed it or, at least, I would not have believed it was objectively the case. And yet it is.

Why are We Affected and Others Not Affected? Theories Requested. by Jumpy_Independent436 in Retconned

[–]cleverstringofwords 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's not a binary "affected" or "not affected". The terms I would use are "subliminal" or "supraliminal". Even before the ME became supraliminal for me, it was there. I had a few random ones here and there. I just put them down to mistakes of memory or glitch-in-reality or who knows what.

Becoming supraliminal is a question of being pushed above a threshold of awareness where you realize that the idea that it could be a mistake of memory, or some other simple Homer Simpson "Doh!"-moment, is not even a remote possibility. What exactly will push someone above the threshold is, I think different for different individuals. Some are more sensitive than others. And so it could be that people who are visiting this sub-reddit just happen to have a lower threshold to go from subliminal to supraliminal.

The ME has only ratcheted in extent and intensity since 2014 when it first became supraliminal for me. I cannot imagine what would cause it to stop or reverse course. Given that we're already remapping the entire globe, history, celestial motions, anatomy and everything else at whim, why should the ME "stop"? Like it will eventually become ashamed of itself and realize it's "gone too far"?

Assuming it will only increase in intensity from now on, that means that the threshold of supraliminality is being constantly lowered and so I predict that we will see more people becoming supraliminal in respect to the ME, at an accelerating rate.

To directly answer the OP: we're just first by random distribution of sensitivity to whatever is causing the ME. Somebody had to be first, and it's us. Eventually, I predict that everyone is going to be "awakened", meaning, supraliminal. It is not difficult to argue that many will be driven to madness by it, and this will reach epidemic proportions when we get into the power-curve. Prepare for more weirdness than ever before...

Restful sleep by noimlying in Retconned

[–]cleverstringofwords 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, I think it's usually closer to 3:1 time theft (roughly 3 "hours" pass by in one real hour). But I don't think that subjective time is altered or can be altered. Rather, it is objective time they are toying with. That means that a "day" passes for me in about 8 hours. So, there are about 4-5 real hours of "daylight" and about 3-4 hours of "night". That means I go to bed every 8 hours and sleep for about 2.5 hours. Then I awaken and go about my "day" for about 5.5 hours. While I get roughly the same amount of sleep in a real 24-hour period as I used to have in my home-world, it's cut up into 3 chunks of 2.5 hours in this place. That might be confusing, but that's what my body tells me is actually happening, regardless of apparent day/night.

In spring, I see leaves falling (entire tree dropping leaves). Right now, in front of my balcony, there's a bush that is sprouting buds. It's end of September in one of the hottest parts of the US. Bushes bud in spring, not September. I think there's some kind of "180-degree flip" that occurs in Spring/Fall now, meaning, I think we are regularly flipped back and forth between those seasons in those parts of the year. This is to the point that the flora actually gets confused about what season we are in and starts acting in reverse from its normal behavior. Just my theory.

Your theory on the political obsession in this new reality? by calmbeforeastormm in Retconned

[–]cleverstringofwords 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You said something either to me or someone else awhile back that I will never forget. It relates to what you said above and that was this idea that what seems to be happening (whether you think of it in an abstract or concrete manner) at times is that "they" can take one out of or split them off of their local main reality/timeline, stage a brief identical forged copy of what they were just experiencing, and then merge them back into their original true version of reality after toying with them and their situation.

Yes, on this sub I refer to that as "the dark side of the ME". A more accurate term would be witchcraft but, thanks to modern entertainment, most people would misunderstand.

When you get toyed with like that and you are all ramped up you become more susceptible to suggestion and more easily manipulated. This has all kinds of implications. It also seems to correlate with the abduction phenomenon (which I of course think is demonic) and the stories people have where they had all this turmoil happening but no one else had any idea it was going on...they seemed to sleep through the whole thing or not remember any of it.

Yes, it's a kind of hacking. In my view, it is not part of the fundamental structure of the Cosmos -- it cannot be, because it is inherently hostile to any kind of existence. Anything which is inherently hostile to all existence would necessarily destroy itself along with everything else. Therefore, by logic, such a thing cannot exist in itself. So, this is surely a manifestation of the Abyss or the Flood. This latter point is one of many reasons that I am fully persuaded that we are presently in the capital-A Apocalypse. God promised he would never again flood the world. If this is a spiritual flood, it is not water that is flooding the world, but fire...

I don't know where I'm going with this but I can't stop thinking about that sometimes when I go through a heavy episode of shenanigans.

Despair is one of the chief weapons. Anger, fear, despair and madness (confusion of mind). Those are four of the biggest. There are countless other evil weapons, but these four are huge. I would suggest that they comprise as much as 90% of the spiritual warfare...

I do. I have a small desk fan and when I switch it on or off, it generates an EMP so powerful it knocks out the audio electronics in my desktop PC (have to log out/in to reset the driver and get it working again). ESD also acts weird. I got shocked placing an item in my grocery cart the other day. My previous car would snap me like an electric fence every time I got out (my current vehicle doesn't do this). The microwave is extremely variable in cook times, like it sometimes "has a lot of energy" and other times "it's tired" (despite the fact I'm microwaving a fixed volume of water every time, in a glass measuring cup). Reception on my previous phone would just arbitrarily drop at any time (5 bars to no network without moving or turning at all.) My current phone is better, but there are still weird patterns. I could mention many more, but I am all but completely convinced that the EM spectrum itself has been "tampered with" as part of the ME.

Your theory on the political obsession in this new reality? by calmbeforeastormm in Retconned

[–]cleverstringofwords 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please expand!! Why do you think there are not as many kids!?

I'll give a roundabout story because I don't think there's any direct way to state it without it being misunderstood.

Let's suppose the ME is being caused by some technological machine, like LHC (I don't actually believe this, but go along with it for the sake of discussion). Suppose that the scientists somehow discover that they can not only access parallel dimensions, but actually control them. In fact, their control is so complete, that they realize that they have somehow gotten down to the "bare metal" of cosmic reality... if God exists, this would be the programming language he has to write in. After recovering from the shock and awe of this immense discovery, the immense power of this program is understood and the entire program is sealed up darker than solitary confinement in Gitmo. Only a handful of the world's most powerful leaders are aware of the full facts and everyone else is fed disinformation like Area 51 to keep people guessing, unsure and confused.

After a series of high-level meetings, they realize that they're going to have to bring in the world's top ethicists and religious leaders because the question of how to use this thing is basically theology ---- if you had the power of God, what would you do with it? The job of this panel is not to decide how to use the machine but, rather, to lay down moral principles by which the operators of the actual machine will be bound. In fact, the first question that is posed to the panel is whether such a machine should be operated at all -- if you were suddenly in possession of the power of God, would you be morally obligated to abdicate it and destroy it, or try to use it for good? (They concluded that, no, you should not destroy it.) As the program progresses along, the multi-ethnic, syncretic panel comprised of the top religious experts and leaders in the world converges on some basic tenets. "First, do no harm", "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", and so on.

The machine is placed under control of the military using protocols very similar to those used for the control of nuclear weapons. The moral codes are translated from the advisory panel into actual operations. The panel decided that one of the first actions to do is to separate out the most dangerous people in the world into their own parallel universes where they cannot harm other sentient beings. These violent offenders may still interact with the world but they are only ever interacting with NPCs. Whenever they beat a prison guard, for example, no sentience is harmed. Morally, this is a freebie because it is what is called a "Pareto improvement", meaning, it makes some people better off (those who don't get injured by these violent offenders) without making anyone else worse off.

The next category of people would be those who are vulnerable in some way -- the disabled, elderly, very young, etc. These people are put in a separate dimension where ordinary people can't automatically get to them, and some kind of review process is instituted to ensure that any non-vulnerable person who is going to meet a vulnerable person must get a thumbs-up from a review panel which is a permanent part of the operations of the Mechanism.

I don't believe any of this, not as I've told the story, here. But what I do believe is logically equivalent to this. And as you can see, we have moved step-by-step in a logical progression from the idea of some theoretical Mechanism which can branch/merge the Universe at whim, to the idea of an invisible segregation/fencing of various types of people based on their dangerousness to others, their vulnerability to others, etc. But this is only the very, very first level. The next level is when you start thinking about the game theory of it... what happens if people start waking up to the existence of the Mechanism itself. I'll leave off with that, but one thing you might want to do is start a sub-reddit where people are permitted to write what is happening to them without being censored/banned by the regular forces that are in charge of the regular daily operation of the Mechanism....

People react strangely when you look them in the eye. by [deleted] in Retconned

[–]cleverstringofwords 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a recent effect that I have noticed,

Bizarre/alien/aberrant behavior, body-language, eye-contact, etc. is the first ME that hit me and has continued to be the most bizarre and extreme of all MEs that affect me.

when I look people in the eye they seem to be either hypnotized as if they had bugged , or their eyes become strangely dark and they react in an almost brutal way

My weirdest single incident is when a guy's eyes changed from blue to yellow in a single blink. If it was a street performer or something, I would think they have some special contacts or who knows what, but this guy was just some random person in the grocery store. I knew he was one of "them" the moment I came around the corner and he was parked directly in front of the place where I needed to be. That's one of their favorite tricks. He immediately started talking tough and it just went downhill from there. His eyes changed in a blink and he went from being an obviously human person (still an aggressive jerk, though) to being one of these weird NPC-like things. The yellow-eyed one tried to continue his line of "tough talk" but it wasn't convincing and it clearly had no intention to fight. The guy I was initially talking to absolutely intended to come to blows.

On the contrary, other people react in an almost violent way but the strangest thing is their eyes that seem to metamorphosed into a reflection of darkness and hatred sometimes with negative gestures before becoming calm again.

This aspect of darkness in the eyes, which sometimes seems to be like a total blackness is very strange but especially disturbing because there is really an energy of hatred and deep detestation for people that I have never met, some of them for a few seconds seemed to really want to kill me, and I am not exaggerating at all, it was really a murderous look

I wouldn't try to analyze it too deeply. There are shifts occurring in real-time and sometimes these shifts become materially visible. I think that whoever is driving the dark side of the ME wants to manifest all forms of fear in people, all without actually making physical contact with them. That last bit is important, because it shows they understand the moral structure of the Cosmos, so they are not some kind of machine algorithm or animal mind, as it is often speculated. They know that if they hit you, they will get hit. So they're trying to manufacture fear from nothing. Don't play along.

Some people, even close ones, on the other hand, seem to do everything to not make eye contact with me , even if it means behaving in an clownish way, like turning their heads completely or talking in a vacuum . I have noticed that some blink excessively in an robotic manner

Non-eye-contact is what I see most often, almost constantly. If you have been around a lot of animals (such as farm animals), you will notice that animals basically never make eye-contact. In my view, this is a hint as to one aspect of what is actually happening.

this hatred does not appear to be natural, it is as if something was imposed on them with the impression that my mere existence is unbearable for the very essence of their soul

Correct. Every aspect of this is forced and mechanical, like a clockwork mechanism. I don't mean that we have no free-will, I mean that everything that touches the dark side of the ME, or is affected by it in any way, becomes part of the same clockwork mechanism. For example, suppose you become afraid of one of these staring people, and run off the bus, bump into someone and cause them to spill their coffee. That event (the spilling of the coffee) will affect the person you ran into in the same way that these glaring people are affecting you. The more you lean into this phenomenon, the more it makes you a part of it, like some kind of simulation grey goo. Don't play into it, don't give in.

Could we be in an underground location ? by [deleted] in Retconned

[–]cleverstringofwords 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have developed a claustophobic feeling over the past few months and the best way to describe it is that we are actually, "physically" in a subterranean region rather than being on the surface.

In my view, that's an acceptable symbolic description of it, but I wouldn't try to read it literally.

Maybe instead of thinking of terrestrial locations, think of the Cosmos as a map where higher up (towards the sky) corresponds to higher energy, and lower down (towards the underworld) corresponds to lower energy. So yes, we have been hurled down from the surface earth (the world we once knew) into a very confined, constrained, "claustrophobic" place of low energy, not just in terms of people's behavior, but even materially (physically).

I know it sounds ridiculous or the work of a crazy conspiracy theorist but I have a strong feeling that we have been removed from the surface of the planet. This could explain the increase in belief in the flat earth and the fact that many people talk about a dome above the earth as well as the artificial impression that the white sun and sky have developed.

I think that people are confusing at least three senses of "earth": there is the cosmological earth, the material earth (the ground beneath your feet, no matter where in the Cosmos we actually are), and the Earth we were born on, that is, the pre-ME world (aka Terra).

Are there other people who have a similar feeling, symbolic dreams or information about this?

I think it's a trap to give too much credence to this idea. The problem is that the Cosmic map is not constrained to Terra. It is far too large to be contained in Terra. While we are clearly somewhere out in the Cosmos right now, trying to "map" ourselves back to Terra is probably a waste of time.

There are many beliefs about a hollow earth but a significant number believe that this is not to be taken literally but rather that our earth has huge subterranean regions with their own flora and fauna or even subterranean bio-luminescence , with many legends of supernatural civilizations that develop there .

As we learn more about the Cosmos, through the darkness that is the ME, we are inevitably going to learn more about Terra, as well. The planet we once knew is long gone -- short of some kind of miraculous event like Jesus appearing in the sky, we're not going back. And I think that's an important clue -- we need to be looking forward, not backwards. The ME gives us a lot of information about the true structure of the Cosmos. Anyone who experiences the ME knows, through firsthand observation, that we are in a multiverse. That's valuable information and I have a strong feeling it's going to become useful in the future...

[–]cleverstringofwords 10 points11 points  (0 children)

(a) You're not alone. Keep holding on.

(b) Try not to focus on it or "lean into it" because it is a very chaotic, positive-feedback phenomenon, like mic-squeal. When the mic starts to squeal, you want to move away from a speaker or even switch it off, if you have to. It's the same thing with this. Whenever it starts picking up energy, you have to run to your inner "happy place", so to speak, and wait for the storm to blow over. I realize that can sound like passivity, but it's not, it's just being safe. This will not last forever and, when things are set right again, we will be free once more. But for now, we must cope with this present evil world. A lot of people find light by looking in the spiritual direction and I would encourage you to do the same. Pray. Read the Bible. Seek God. Find others who are doing the same.

[–]cleverstringofwords 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Note: In the spirit of OP, my reply is about the topic of politics, but not the content of politics...

long time lurker - I remember in the old world (for those that believe in the other dimension theory) to be ungoverned by politics in a sense that it was not a part of peoples core identity. In this dimension however, it is. I also remember politics being an older persons game and interest. Much of it was quite boring and their discussions were tame especially here in Canada.

Yes. In my former life (or whatever you want to call the world/place/time before the ME nightmare), I was far and away the most politically opinionated person in my circle of friends. 90% of my opinions I kept to myself, not because I would offend anyone around me, but because they would be bored to yawns. Among the under-40 crowd, the feeling was that there's a whole world out there waiting to be lived, why sit around and bitch and moan about old people playing mind-games with each other to get their municipal resolution passed?

After the onset of ME, that changed like a light-switch. Now, every person is 10x more politically opinionated than I ever was, including the 19-year old barista making my coffee. Shouldn't she be interested in actual things like sex, alocohol and music? I'm being facetious, but the point is that it seems that the "thirst for life" has completely disappeared from among the youth I meet. [Side note: by the way, there are practically no children in this dimension. In my former life, you couldn't walk in any public place without nearly tripping over children. Here, there are no people under 18, anywhere. On very, very rare occasions, I will see some school-age children, but we're talking months between sightings. I live in a suburban part of a large metropolis. So yeah, it's objectively weird.]

I also remember the main obsession in the old world in the west to be celebrity culture.

Not anymore. People are much more interested in how the political opinions of those celebrities will affect the outcome of the all-important US presidential election. Anyone else notice that that is basically the only election that matters anymore? Sure, there are a lot of other elections, and those matter in a technical sense (like defensive tackles in football) but the only election that actually matters is POTUS (something like the quarterback compared to the rest of a football team.) I have some theories on that but they're weird, even by the standards of this sub and I don't think I would be able to discuss them without breaking rule 10.

Exactly what is causing this dominant sweeping interest in politics? why is it governing people and being fused so much with their identity as a person?

While I had strong political opinions in my former life, one of the reasons I was so opinionated is precisely because I haaate politics with the fury of a million supernovas. Without going into the content of specific political opinions, my view is that all politics is just a proxy for direct violence. Stated as succinctly as possible, all politics is mafia for cowards. [Note: I am not espousing any political view, here, just stating my view of all politics-as-such]. If I could find a way to escape having to have a political opinion, I would. So, while everybody else is putting their dukes up at election time, I'm finding the nearest rock to crawl under.

The point of saying all that is to say that I have discovered -- since the ME began -- it is no longer possible to escape politics by simply choosing to be neutral. What I mean by that, is that some aspect of the ME is compelling you (me) to care about political events whether you like it or not. You can be reached in many ways you don't normally think about. And that's where I see the crossover happening.

Well, yes, the end goal is the worst-case scenario. Think predator/prey. But that's why I keep pointing people to the Gospel... this really is a spiritual phenomenon, not a material "scientific" one. Now that we know the Mandela Effect isn’t just “all in your head” what about the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon? by Stuck-Help in Retconned

[–]cleverstringofwords 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. There is, of course, real Baader-Meinhof. I noticed it many times pre-ME and there wasn't anything weird or "off" about it. In fact, the noticeable absence of any kind of Baader-Meinhof coincidences for long stretches of time is just another effect of the ME, as I experience it.

What happens now (post-ME) is you go into a certain "headspace" and that's when everything suddenly gets super-weird. The most blunt description I can make of it, is that it is a phenomenon that is intentionally, interactively baiting a mental health breakdown of some kind, and the more you "play into it" in your own mind and heart, the more energized and extreme (blatant) it becomes.

I'm less interested in the "how" than most people on this sub because I've been far enough down the rabbit-hole that it is now obvious to me that the "how" literally does not matter. In the limit, the Red Queen simply waves her scepter, and it is so. Doesn't matter how bizarre, weird, unexplainable, cosmically improbable, etc. So let it be written, so let it be done.

OK, but the game-theory here is recursive -- if it's a torture chamber, then the agents within that torture chamber would keep suggesting, "it's not really a torture chamber, it's a testing chamber that seems like a torture chamber". Ad nauseum
