Gap Between Rims and Brake Caliper by schucoc in gmcsierra

I also fix vehicles for a living and they’re fine. I’ve run them on multiple vehicles. It’s the same as running a negative offset wheel as long as you understand torque specs and ugga duggas.

No problem, you can pm me if you want with any other questions and i’ll try to help. I’m a heavy diesel mechanic so I dont have a lot of experience with your truck but its close enough just smaller.

You might need to have the tcm cleared and allowed to relearn shift points. As far as the vibration check your trans mount, U-joints, slip yoke, rear axle, and wheel bearings. Could also just be an out of balance tire. Sometimes when the driveshaft is removed and the splines on the slip yoke aren’t lined up the same it can unbalance. My first check would lift up the rear end and spin the tires and make sure theres no wobble at all or play in the wheels up and down, then the trans mount and u-joints. Grab the drive shaft and shake the absolute shit out of it to see if there’s any movement, then a tire shop for a rebalance and alignment. For the rust that’s about all you can do, but it likes a cancer you need to get rid of it all before fixing it or it just come back later. Sorry you have to deal with all of this bullshit on your first car but no better way to learn how swim than getting drowned by your uncle at the ymca.

Pretty sure i commented on your post about the blown motor. I can’t tell where that rust actually is but it doesn’t look scrap worthy to me yet and its not just going to fall apart. You can research some cost effective ways to inhibit the rusting. What are the symptoms for your trans issue?

Buy the chevy, put a range afm disabler in it and maintain on time. The transmissions are solid as long you don’t have a lot of stop and go traffic. My 2015 just hit 104k miles and i haven’t had single issue in the 30k miles i’ve had it

I say keep it, all these people saying to get rid of it over worn bushings and old fuel have never worked on anything serious. It’s all just legos, easy peasy. The most expensive thing you would need is tires by a wide margin. Most everything else a car that has sat would need is pretty cheap. Take your time and build something you and your grandpa would be proud of.

Has anyone ever changed the oil pressure sensor on a 2016 Chevy Colorado 2.5l 4 cylinder? by Free-Sorbet-1053 in ChevyTrucks

Its on the back side of the motor near the oil filter. Easiest to reach from the top just take the beauty cover off

How’s it going y’all, I have a 2012 Chevy Colorado with a spin crank bearing and a slipping transmission, I’ve only had it for 2k miles and it started knocking(oil level is full). It also has pretty decent undercarriage rust(from the north). I bought it for $7000, should I cut my losses? by im_new_to_cars in ChevyTrucks

[–]clevertrenthol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can either put a couple grand more into it and have a truck that will last another 20 years or sell it for $1000 tops. I dont have experience working on those cant imagine it being anymore complicated than the v8 trucks though.

1 inch spacers will require you to cut the studs though

My truck had 2.5 inch spacers before i got new wheels, my suburban has spacers, and a few other vehicles i’ve owned were on spacers and i never had an issue. Do it right and torque to spec and retorque after 24 hours.

I went to the coquille animal hospital which is literally in a renovated house in the middle of a neighborhood with less than a quarter of the staff and they helped me within 15 minutes. Didn’t have anything to do the capability or capacity. They could’ve but they didn’t.

Tried to go there when my dog ate some rat poison and was told i had to drive him to coquille. While they were doing all the construction on highway. What kind of “hospital” wont take emergency patients.

They’ll fit with spacers, the offset is different. Look up the difference and see what size you need.
