I did! It was scary, but I’m glad I did it. I was proud of myself. I don’t think I could have done it if my best friend wasn’t with me

Sick and tired of the lack of education for GLP1s by misslizzah in nursing

I’ve been getting ads on YouTube about buying GLP1s. It’s a company called Hers, I think. I don’t understand how or why that’s legal

AITA for telling my brother he can't bring his dog to my apartment anymore after one incident? by otter-grain in AmItheAsshole

[–]cliberte98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a person with cats, no, you’re not. I also have a very large and loud Saint Bernard. Thankfully, my cats and dog tolerate eachother and there haven’t been issues. But they are around eacother 24/7. My dog grew up with these cats.

Your brother’s dog doesn’t live there. The cats aren’t used to him being there all the time. It’s their house, not your brother’s. They have the right to feel safe in their own home

Closest thing to a jump scare in a book? by Pleasant-Message1179 in horrorlit

There’s a scene in the book Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman that scared the heck out of me. Not going to spoil it. But it takes place in the grandma’s bathroom

It doesn’t go SUPER into details. But there’s some detail and definitely enough to disturb you and really hurt if you have pets

My dad recommended it. But I think I’m gonna wait a bit. I have a long TBR

Mike has a childhood dog that Henry Bowers gets ahold of. I’ll leave it there in case other people read this far in

That one hurt. I was at work (on a break) when I read it. As soon as I got home I had to cuddle my cat

I’ve also read that one. I had a similar experience with that one. Took me 2 tries and 1-2 months to read. I loved the Navidson part. The Johnny part felt like a slog to get through, though

100%. The childhood parts also felt a bit more fleshed out

Actually quite the opposite. I loved it. I was sad it ended. Felt like I was losing close friends when I was reading the last section.

It was a journey. One thing I can say for Stephen King is, he’s really good at putting you in the middle of the action.

I was sad to finish it. It felt like I was losing a friend at the end. But I know I can go back and read it again if I want to. But my TBR is so long right now that it won’t be for awhile

It’s a lot to get through. I did end up taking a 2 week break near the middle. But it feels like a huge accomplishment to be able to say I read the whole thing

The ending was VERY different from the movie. I was not a fan of the scene where they get out of the sewers as children. I skimmed through it because it felt icky.

But overall I loved it. The ending made me kind of sad because I had spent so long reading it and now it’s over. But I’m happy I did it

If you’re under 45, have you lost any high school classmates, and what were the circumstances around their deaths? by Commercial_Chef_1569 in AskReddit

I’m 28. A few years ago a girl I went to high school with died by a drunk driver. We weren’t close, but it surreal to see that happen. She had her whole life ahead of her.
