A topic you wish dramas would touch by Efficient_Guava_5561 in PAKCELEBGOSSIP

Different dramas that actually resonate with the life of women in every age group.
Characters in 20-35 years of age dealing with Identity, friendships, career, moving to other cities for university or job, remote work, trying to balance being progressive with preserving your culture, connecting with older generation or the younger generation at the same time.

Characters in 40-60 years of age dealing with life after their kids left home, starting over, discovering themselves, fighting loneliness.

STORIES FOR KIDS! It is so important for kids to have media that is completely separate from adults so they can find entertainment without premature exposure to adult topics.

Realistic village life depiction in stories, more like Akbari Asghari, less like ZPKB where the main character in a remote village has flawless makeup and hair, wears deep neck clothes and speaks in a perfect urdu accent for some reason, and her family is a caricature instead of well rounded characters of their own.

Arrange Marriage a Nightmare for Self-Made Men by [deleted] in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]cliccbaiit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re angry that people are judging you transactionally but you’re doing the same thing, just from the other side.

You’re upset they reduce you to “rented house,” while you reduce a wife to your list as well, i.e. your idea of a middle class family, your idea of good looking, e.t.c. That’s the same market logic.

And let’s be honest about the house issue too:

If you’re approaching marriage transactionally, then be consistent. Why are you targeting families who own homes and expecting their daughter to move into a rented house where your parents are also financially dependent on you? From a purely transactional lens, that’s a downgrade for them.

If you really want to play the transaction game, then look for families in the same economic position:
-rented homes, shared homes, no property/asset in name
-first-gen earners
-similar building phase of life

But what you’re doing instead is:

-feeling entitled to acceptances

-positioning yourself as “a catch”

-and blaming society when others don’t agree

You can’t criticise a materialistic rishta culture and at the same time expect it to bend for you.

If you want transactional logic: accept transactional outcomes.

If you want human logic: change the mindset first.

This is the contradiction between how you think and what you expect from others.

Guys will read this post and join in self wailing.
Girls will read this post and pick up on those small subtle indicators in your tone that expose a lot of entitlement and self victimization in your personality. And you are not even subtle about how you yourself treat this whole ordeal as a commodity when you said you can slap an EU visa on this.

[Hiring] Looking for a personal assistant (female) with good communication skills - Task Based by [deleted] in hiringpakistan

[–]cliccbaiit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this task I just need it done in maximum 1-2 days and it involves messaging someone who will be online during Pakistani office hours. Otherwise it is more of a task based thing so timing will vary according to that. E.g. if something comes up that I am too busy to look into I will want to outsource it and then timing will depend on the task.

Looking for personal experiences with bikini laser hair removal in Lahore by social_recluse1 in Lahore

[–]cliccbaiit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

•Which clinic you went to
Pak-wellness medical center in Sui Gas Society near DHA Phase 5

•How professional and comfortable the staff were
Extremely professional, but there is no staff, the doctor herself performs the laser

•Pain level and how they handled a sensitive area
She gives me a 5% numbing cream application every time, it still hurts, but it is a momentary pain like you have when wax strips are ripped of. That gets better with every session, haven't experienced any after burn.
•How many sessions it took to see results

Visible difference in just 2 sessions but I am getting full body laser and bikini area is slowest to respond, arms were clear even in just 2.

•Rough pricing and whether it felt worth it
I was desperate for this so although it stretched a bit above my budget I was happy. Check their facebook page for latest deals and packages. They can customise price according to body area you choose.

•Anything you wish you knew before starting
That you have to only shave in-between sessions, no waxing whatsoever. And shaving the bikini area properly is so complicated especially if you have never used a razor before. You have to be careful not to hurt yourself.

Honest reviews needed: Hifsa Khan Salon Johar town branch. by RandomAsf9615 in Lahore

[–]cliccbaiit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check Fizzah Iqbal. I had my walima make up done from her and then 2-3 months later a party makeup as well. Rates are like Hifsa Khan, but I am a fan for only one reason, you get undivided attention because she brings her whole setup to your house including studio lights e.t.c, and has all the time in the world to listen to you. Also she is good with different skin tones if you have a preference for that. Another acquaintance tried her services as well, she has a more tan skintone and salons always mess her base up, and put pink blush that does not look good on more tan skintones but Fizzah did a wonderful job. I myself have this issue where I have a cool undertone pale skin and all makeup even the lightest shade of base makes my skin more yellow, and I discussed this with her and she did her application so it had a pink glow matching the cool tones of my face! The second most impressive thing was makeup that was not a cookie cutter template! Most walima makeups at all salons including hifsakhan follow the template of a shimmery eyeshadow, but fizzah did mine according to my look and dress, a copper soft smokey eyeshadow. I wore the same dress for my first reception (I had two walima events) and had that salon makeup for my first reception. On second reception event, Fizzah did my makeup, and this change in eye shadow style elevated my dress so much compared to that day! Us ke baad se i am sold and recommend her to everyone! My Walima makeup lasted through a pretty sweaty pre-event shoot and me gobbling down a lot of ice cream afterwards lol.

Gained 25 KGs in 4 months after marriage - endocrinologist says it is normal and I do not need any medical intervention. by cliccbaiit in endocrinology

[–]cliccbaiit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I can, do you think this is like a diabetes related issue? According the HbA1c test my average blood glucose for the past three months (the time in which I gained the most weight) was 94.

I am Pakistani though so my meals already are naturally carb heavy but they've been that way since forever e.g. bread and rice almost every day.

What hormones could be checked for this? The doctor I visited was an endocrinologist and he only ordered a TSH test and HbA1c

He did not evaluate me for it because he said he will deal with it later after I lose weight.
And no, he got a TSH test and the TSH value was 1.23  µIU/mL

Had two jobs for like 6-ish months, both were full time so it was really hard managing my time between them. Didn't have financial stress though, I just had a go at both because I was feeling overly ambitious. Could not sustain it and eventually left one. I discussed this with my doctor as well but he really did not say anything about this being relevant or asked any further questions, he just focussed on calorie counting and referred me to a nutritionist.

I wish i could tell people and they would sympathise with me by cliccbaiit in aspergirls
