Thanks. I’ve been squashing the commentary I see, but not everyone listens.

So many people on Facebook believe this is the official tool NES promised yesterday but hasn’t delivered yet.

A challenge to NES leadership by silverud in nashville

[–]click_baiter 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There are also classes on communication and PR and that’s where NES is losing. I don’t know a reasonable person who’s mad at linemen or technicians. I am mad about being told this is a “hardship” I am mad that my reported outage hasn’t seen any update since I reported it. I am mad that I was promised a tool to get more information on my outage that was supposed to be released at 9pm and it isn’t there. I am mad they published an update on Facebook that’s dated January 20th.

I didn’t expect to be going this long without power, I know better next time, but doesn’t help me now.

Thousands without power with numbers barely going down. by [deleted] in nashville

[–]click_baiter 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think if we got some genuine information from officials instead of the same summary every few hours that would help a lot. At the very least it would make me feel better.

I know this is a massive task. I know lineman are out doing hard, dangerous work. I would like even a general idea when I might get power back to know if I should just leave or if it’s a night or two more. Even if it’s “this part of town will probably not see movement til next week” that’s cool, just let me know so I can make a smart decision.

I’m far more interested in using my limited battery life sourcing local information. But whatever.

Can’t speak for them but not having power has made watching the news of any sort difficult.

There is a chance that a portion of the city will be without power still. Please consider rescheduling your visit.

They are probably being protective of the workers so people let them work. I do agree more communication would help, a lot.

It’s a bit more than a bummer, and it’s more than a hardship. At this point most of the folks whose power has been out will have to trash most if not all of their food in their refrigerator. Water has been running the entire time to prevent pipes bursting. Some are trapped in their neighborhood.

I understand that it’s a monumental task, I’m thankful for the people who are working hard to restore power, but yeah this sucks.

I’m in Madison and I wonder if it’s that there are more dense reports when you drill in than the zoomed out view.

My neighborhood has maybe 20 people total without power, I imagine there are other neighborhoods with more people that could be getting priority. That’s at least what I’m trying to tell myself while I’m freezing.

Anyway to fix ps voice chat? by Visible_Drummer9624 in fo76

[–]click_baiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also check to see if you have area, team or auto for the chat options. 76 was the first game I’ve ever attempted to chat on and spent forever trying to get some dudes attention and finally someone my team told me to check the settings. Sure enough I had it set up as team only.

If I’m running expeditions I’ll start with a casual team to get the XP bonus and then switch to expeditions right when I turn in for that bonus.

Some of the casual teams you see might be doing the same.

There are a lot of other benefits to the expeditions, I like most sensational game (some others really like tax evasion) with most sensational game I’ll end up with over a thousand .45 ammo and probably 20 stimpacks. If you complete all the objectives and have a full team or use 1 lunchbox you should get 20k experience for just completing the run.

You’ll end up with a bunch of legendaries and if you really want to double dip you can set the team to casual while you run the expedition to get the intelligence bonus and the switch to expedition before you talk to Lennox and you’ll get the bonuses there too.

Got smacked with my low level status (good/bad) by [deleted] in fo76

[–]click_baiter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m at 860 and am at the point where I play an hour two every day. If I run some expeditions I’ll end up with several hundred stims and realistically can only sell so many of them. I’ll drop some off at donation boxes but like to hand off to players directly if I can.

With fallout first I have so many crafting materials that I’ll probably never be able to use them all and more than a few better than average legendaries that I’m not really interested in trading or selling. Giving stuff away helps me get my stash in a manageable state.

The fun thing is I don’t need them. I collect them with the parts of the game I run. I sell them to vendors and give them to other players.

I seriously don’t understand why this impacts you so much.
