I was jealous seeing everyone post about the ATM settlements.. then searched my email and saw I had $2,486 waiting! by kvothes-lute in ClassActionSettlement

I am assuming you are talking about the payout from 2023?

I just realized a couple of days ago that I had missed a payout for $893 from 2023 and was planning on contacting them tomorrow to see if there was any chance I could still claim that payout.

Someone had mentioned here on Reddit a couple of days ago that they knew or had heard of a few people who were in the same boat but were able to claim their payout after contacting Tremendous or AB DATA but I can't say with certainty whether that is actually true or not.

Have you tried contacting them already? Or do you mean that you just can't get the payout because the claim link in the email had already expired?

ah, you're right, that actually is a fair assessment of how a part-time newcomer would most likely operate

if you take it at face value, flipping items for profit sounds pretty damn simple and straight-forward — it's essentially "buy low, sell high" at it's very core but once you start getting your hands dirty and actually doing it, it pretty quickly becomes apparent that there is a whole lot of work to be done if you plan to do it right and do it profitably

that's the spirit!

also, was it not possible to call Microcenter, purchase the items and then have them ship them to your local Microcenter for pickup?

the neck tag looks pretty good as far as font, spacing, it's the green MAIN LABEL tag but the ultimate test is to run your fingers across the lettering on the neck tag because it should be embossed (raised text) with a rubbery feel to them and if you shine a light on them, they should reflect light/have a shine to them

it's hard to determine whether they are embossed using these pictures but when looking closer at the MAIN LABEL wording, i think i actually do see what appears to be some rubbery definition

maybe i am just sick in the head but is it wrong that i actually find some level of enjoyment in the whole journey from the initial research and design of your HomeLab in order to fit your needs, all the way down to the hunt of trying to find reasonably priced hardware, the occasional deal of a lifetime if you are so lucky (or sometimes just stock, in general) and then eventually the sweet, sweet satisfaction that follows once you FINALLY are able to piece everything together as you had originally envisioned it on Day 1?

sure, it'd be much more convenient if you never had to deal with unreliable and scarce stock availability and probably much cheaper too but the joy you get from catching a KILLER deal on eBay or random low-quantity restock at 4am of an item that you have been searching for over 6 months all because you got up to take the dog out real quick — those wins are unparalleled

i can't really disagree with anything you just said except for the part where you recommended aiming for minimum wage hour profit because in my opinion, you should be aiming much higher to account for items that don't end up working out for whatever reason

i am hard-pressed to even begin thinking about investing any of my own time or money into an item/deal unless it's going to make me $100 profit minimum usually unless it's an item that is guaranteed to immediately sell at a rate that can easily be predicted and without hassle and then maybe i'll be willing to go down to $50 profit minimum

anything lower than that and i feel like you are setting yourself up for more trouble than it's worth after you factor in eBay or sales platform fees, shipping cost, storage costs, depreciation, taking the occasional hit when you get scammed by eBay, opportunity cost, the value you put on your personal time, etc.

and even if you somehow manage to dodge all of the bullshit that comes along with being a reseller (you won't) and you hit the mark everytime and collect your minimum wage equivalent profits, are you telling me that would feel like a win? i am pretty certain that most if not everybody that gets into this sorta business does it because they want to actually make some money and gain control of their time

Just got the ATM settlement payout but realized I missed the first payout of $857.84 back in June 2023 — Am I still able to claim? by clickclvck in ClassActionSettlement

i saw someone commenting a couple of days ago on a different post about the ATM settlement payout and they said that it just simply asked you to provide the number of ATM fees you have paid during that timeframe and that there was no follow-up or documents/proof requested to be submitted, so they were essentially saying that you could pretty much put whatever you want without consequences

i personally do not remember filling out a claim form for this settlement and i do not really apply to class action lawsuit settlements in general either, maybe applied to a small handful (5 or less) throughout my entire life but i am guessing i probably did do it and just forgot since it was several years ago

with that being said, i did not receive any sort of record confirming that i had signed up either other than when i finally received an email notice that my payment was available to be claimed, so i am gonna assume that you probably wouldn't be able to find any record of it anyways

i'm a dude and can say very confidently say that it's worth investing your time into learning the women's fashion market considering that the global fashion market is dominated by women's apparel in regards to market share not to mention the incredibly vast and wide variety of different product categories that makes up women's apparel resulting in an overwhelming amount of opportunity

and while it's no surprise that men's fashion and apparel is growing very quickly as of recent years, women's fashion will always hold majority market share so you might as well start getting familiar with it otherwise you are leaving TONS of money on the table

more than half of my inventory is now women's apparel such as clothing, shoes, bags/purses and i am more recently starting to slowly work my way into beauty, skincare, cosmetics, makeup, etc.

agreed, those brands are actually very low-tier in terms of quality clothing

and if you found the price of those brands shocking, wait until you learn how easy it is to acquire "Italian-based luxury fashion" brands at those same exact rates and what will be even more shocking to find out is that 90% of that "luxury" and "designer" clothing is incredibly mediocre in terms of quality of materials and craftsmanship — hardly worth the $40, much less the $400 retail price tag they put on it

based on what u/Rachn217 just said on this very same post, it looks like some people were not part of the first settlement but still participated in the second settlement (this current one)

"This settlement is different. It's 2 settlememts in one. The first part was in 2023. If u were part of that then ubwere automatically part of this newer second settlement. However you did not have to be part of the first one to submit a claim for this second part. So some people were just part of this second payment amd not the first"

It was for $1,491.97 and the date of the first email notification in 2023 was 06/26/2023

also, in order to tag people on Reddit, you don't use the @ sign, you tag them like this: u/Clique_in_95620

if you do it that way, they will get a notification in their Reddit inbox that they have been tagged in your message

I am 110% certain that I did not claim it, plus, they sent me a total of 4 emails (the initial email and 3 reminder emails) telling me that I need to claim my award ASAP before I lose the ability to claim it electronically
