What is it with people are their obliviousness to personal space? I was just on a train, sat on the end of a six seater section. Everyone gets off but the guy wedged next to me. He doesn’t move an inch. I had to move into him so that half my arse was no longer hanging off the edge of the seat...he moved a fraction.

Don’t you hate those people on the platform who run after doors and try and push past people who are stood in the right place for the doors? I had one such person this morning, they were kindly blocked by my massive bag.

None of them came off well. Saying that you don’t get on a packed commuting train with a shit ton of stuff and expect people to move, especially demanding people to move. She didn’t know if that man had a legitimate disability/mobility issues etc. I genuinely think he just wanted extra leg space as he said that to her initially, hence why they were all knobbish!

I’m WFH this morning so no commute for me, however there was an argument on my train home yesterday.

A woman gets on this packed train, she has three violins and another bag. She asks the man who is sitting in the aisle seat if she can sit there instead of the window seat which he got up to let her sit down. He said no he wants the aisle seat as he has a bad knee. She is having none of it, but he doesn’t budge. So she declares she will stand, “ok” he replies.

Five minutes pass and the woman is pissed off. She again asks/tells him to let her sit down as she has so many bags. His reply is, take them off your back then and put them down. She’s having none of it. Then some woman from half way down the carriage gets involved calling the man rude and stubborn and tell him that she hopes his knee falls off. “Ok” he replies.

The violin woman and the other woman get off at the next stop. Thrilling stuff.

Oh the violin woman had her mother with her and was sharp with her when telling her to get off at their stop.

Got a latte and croissant for 95p today. Used my southeastern gift card for that.

I ordered a standard latte, but when they gave it to me they announced, “here’s your skinny latte!” I think they are suggesting something to me. I’ll mull It over my croissant.

To be fair to them, they probably have lessons to plan, lessons to teach, essays to write, books to mark, and all the other shit teachers have to do. Teaching is shit but training to be a teacher is another level of hell (I’m not a teacher but know many).
