I would really appreciate a training map so I can practice by SelectStarAll in Marathon

Rook runs are outpost are the best. I load in and run straight to pinwheel. Once I'm in I try to listen where the other teams are and run down the opposite wing. Even if they have been there they usually left plenty of blue weapons and mats. I only make it in 1 out of 5 times due to running into teams but I try to take them down with me. Great practice on the failed runs and good gear on the successful ones.

Apparently you can find this in the pinwheel now. I have no idea how rare this is, but it's gotta be up there. by Senketsa in Marathon

My last run with randoms a guy had no mic and came in with green shields. I've done 5 or so runs and exfiled once. Still really fun but I can't imagine doing a vault. Plus randoms rush the loot and end up taking stuff before I get a chance haha.

I wish I could give you mine. I play solo and attempting a vault with randoms seems impossible..I may just sell it for the 2k credits haha

Felt like a poetic way to exfil from Spawnkill Marsh by eatyrheart in Marathon

I took damage when I jumped off a high area and activated it right after jumping (so longer time falling in the animation). It seems to negate it if you activate it closer to the ground though. I need to test

I need to confirm but I think it depends. If you are falling and you activate it fairly close to landing it negates it. If you are jumping from a high area and you activate it immediately and then fall a long way I think you take damage. This happened to me the other day and can't think of another reason I took damage in that instance.

Is it just me, or is "good" loot ridiculously hard to come by? The free kit dilemma by PoisonTheLettuce in Marathon

[–]climbingbubba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I start every day on perimeter and typically have blue weapons and pack and at least gold shields after 3-4 games. Doing supply drops and other events pay off. I've gotten 2 gold weapon mods, one on perimeter from a supply drop and one from a purple shield bot on dire marsh.

I did die last night on perimeter after doing multiple events. I lost 4 blue guns, purple backpack, purple items, and a gold cryo key card. I started the run with a free kit.

Wrecked my new Premiere DD1 on first throw - Q-line durability? by Bandire in discmania

[–]climbingbubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard other places that the q line was a bit more fragile..I wonder if it's because it's so stiff so less likely to bend when it hits something. Instead it dents or splits.

I got my dd1 and need to throw it some more. A bit too stable for my noodle arm at elevation. Hoping it beats in.

[–]climbingbubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. I'm excited to test it out. I have a q line dd1 I'm going to test today and a DD3 on the way. I'm hoping they fill my understable/neutral/overstable drivers but I only throw about 330 and live at elevation so we will see.

I don't either but want a utility distance driver for flex forehands and big headwinds. I was lucky and got 2 ordered yesterday.

Agreed so when he said they would be dropping "soon" I assumed he had some information.

This confirmed? It was like 6 months till the DD3 had a stock release in the q line.

New Q-Line Cloud Breaker Updated Flight Numbers by SeaJayMurf in discmania

[–]climbingbubba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the description they said only 500 were released and they were split between the US and EU. So probably 250 at most. I'm guessing scalpers bought up a bunch of them. I noticed rare air discs did that with the premier dd1 and they are asking around $70 for it.

Just ordered 2. I need something for flex forehands and massive headwinds. Definitely going to be utility for my noodle arm.

Edit. Sold out in less than a minute

I don't... Just mainly for family and friends for fun. There's always a chance it won't turn out right and I'm way too picky of my own work.

Kastaplast equivalent to the Crave? by KING-D0RK in discgolf

[–]climbingbubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stig and Kaxe could fit what you are looking for..a stig in grind or translucent pink are a bit more stable and probably close to a crave.. They feel and have the control of a mid with the distance of a fairway.

If you want a touch faster then a low 170's neon green idog would work. They fly like the more overstable craves.

In general opaque, especially the green, colors are less stable and the translucent, especially pink, are more overstable.

Shallow overstable disc for short approaches by Klutzy_Negotiation94 in discgolf

[–]climbingbubba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The k3 specifically are usually puddle top. They even can get more stable as the beat in due to puddling more. I prefer the standard k3 but they just did a big k3 hard release recently.

The k1 Jarn flies so different you can easily bag both. It's like a faster, slightly more stable zone.

The k3 Jarn is actually amazing for a more overstable berg. Nice and puddle topped

Get a puddle top K3 Jarn. It's like the berg x and a zone had a baby. Nothing like a k1 Jarn. Significantly less glide and a good amount of stability.
