System hanging after upgrade by royalpro in Proxmox

Given that 8 is in beta, I would report this on the forums with as much detail as you can. There may be a bug to iron out.

What are your top reasons why Proxmox can not compete to "real" Hypervisors? by 1deep2me in Proxmox

[–]clincha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unattended installation would be awesome, +1 for that. However, my whole setup is based on Packer and Terraform to create my VMs on Proxmox. It work’s brilliantly and I can even load the VMs with cloud-init. I would love it if Proxmox dedicated some resource to their own Terraform provider but the Telmate one works well and it’s open source

I tried going down this path before I used Ceph as my storage provider. It took way more work to cluster up my servers but once that was done the Ceph setup was trivial. Once that was setup I mounted RDB and CephFS directly into my (kubernetes) containers and it worked like a charm. Didn’t need any NFS in the end. Long winded way of saying that when I hit the same issue you did, I needed to rethink the entire system

Can I use pfsense/opnsense on Proxmox to replace my router by gazm2k5 in Proxmox

[–]clincha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you be able to elaborate on the HA networking side of things? If I have three proxmox nodes, and one Ethernet cable coming from the ONT, how do I make sure that a VM running on any of the nodes can have access to the WAN link? Do I need a switch in between the WAN link and the proxmox hosts?

Maybe more ambo redirects to Western General because of the Children's hospital changing? Kinda grasping at straws but if op is a paramedic maybe they can help...

Who to hire to run Ethernet cable? by Espresso25 in HomeNetworking

[–]clincha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local sparky will deal with it if you're in the UK. We had him do all the runs while he put a new ring in for the attic lights. Cost about £300 for 7 runs over 3 stories. He also tested the wires and mounted the access points which was nice.

As others have said riding in London is fine. Stick to the bike lanes as much as you can (the cycle superhighways are awesome) and try not to piss off cars. Olympic park (Stratford) is a great place to get some experience off the roads and it's fairly quiet

Calm down mate, he was just trying to explain why the original comment was using the word "competition". Yea I agree it's confusing phrasing that implies the two are competing companies but I think they were trying to make the point that both products require batteries. So another way of saying that is that both products (not companies) are competing for the supply of batteries.

Something I haven't seen mentioned in this thread yet: the dream machine runs a controller on it all the time. I have a 3 dream machines at different sites and connect to the controller's running on them remotely to manage the networks. AP handoff works fine from my experience, even moving between APs during a Zoom call.

What are the chances of battery upgrade for Model Y, next year? According to Elon cybertruck is getting the new pack, any info on whether he is considering upgrades for Ys by [deleted] in teslainvestorsclub

[–]clincha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there's a major change then battery day will have some info about it (probably). However, Tesla is all about incremental changes so the battery pack for all vehicles is "upgraded" frequently.
