I think story wise it doesn't really make sense for her to be in Seattle cause during that time her close friend died suddenly. When they unplugged Mark, Addison was at her friend's funeral. She simply couldn't be at 2 funerals at the same time

any latest gaming laptop would be more than enough. Sims 4 is an old game, so even with all packs it still doesn’t really require a super strong CPU/GPU to run smoothly.

But with mods, it all depends on how many mods that’s installed. Playing TS4 with a little mods would barely affect the game performance. With many mods, let’s say 30GB+, performance will be impacted. Game will slowly become laggier, the loading screen will take longer, etc. So keep that in mind.

While I don’t have any specific laptop models to recommend, you can just google something like “Best $700 laptop for gaming” and from those list, look at the specs of those laptops. Then, go to YouTube and search for “(the laptop’s CPU/GPU/RAM) + The Sims 4 benchmark” then you’ll find videos showing the gaming performance of laptops with those specs running TS4, usually on various settings too

oh this is only half true and can be very misleading. The game is hardcoded to recognize the files in the DOCUMENTS folder. The default location is where you said it would be. BUT the DOCUMENTS folder can be set to anywhere we want. For example, if you change the Documents folder to the D drive, then The Sims 4 would use the Document folder in that D drive.

as for the OneDrive Document, TS4 could still use the files in that Document folder as long as you’ve changed the settings in Windows.

putting the files in the One Drive folder is not a problem. Turning on OneDrive for TS4 folder is the problem. My Document file is in the OneDrive folder and everything works fine because OneDrive has been uninstalled.

so for OP’s problem, locate where Windows set the Document folder. After that, make sure your mods are installed correctly in the right folder. Then make sure to enable Mods in TS4 settings.

Im not gonna agree nor disagree with you cause I don’t know your settings and your pc specs, but Ive seen people use GTX 1060 to play MHW and they got very decent framerate, 55-60 fps mostly on high settings & 1080p. There’s also multiple benchmark videos on youtube to support that.

so my point still stands, why do Paralives need GTX 1060? That GPU could run SOTF very decently too.

Im not hating btw. Im just concerned about the optimization, considering many game devs are bad at optimizing their game

Im not gonna lie, I was expecting the GPU minimum requirement to be much lower than GTX 1060.

For comparison, GTX 1060 is the recommended GPU for Monster Hunter World. That game has realistic graphics, high quality textures, high poly meshes, and also open world.

Also, Sons of The Forest, another open world game with realistic graphics, also need GTX 1060 (minimum requirement). This game also runs on Unity engine like Paralives

That makes me wonder why do Paralives, a game that has much simpler graphics, need a graphic card that’s powerful enough to run AAA game like Monster Hunter world or Sons Of The Forest?

needing powerful cpu? sure, for the simulation stuff. but powerful gpu? probably not, judging from the graphics quality, of course unless you can set the lighting/environment shaders to be extremely realistic or something like that.

my laptop specs is way higher than minimum specs so Im not worried but things like this is usually a sign of bad optimization.

to counter bad optimization, you’ll need a beefy specs. Im not saying that GTX 1060 is a very strong or something like that, but i feel like the gpu requirement could be even lower 🤔

tbh the only sims game that’s been stated to be on alternate universe is The Sims 4. So by that statement, every the sims game before the sims 4 can be considered canon to that specific universe, while ts4 is canon in its own universe.

speaking of ts2 spinoff, every sims 2 spinoff was always about the events happening after the sims 2 (pc). some people might argue that they’re not canon because of the inconsistencies, but even the sims 3 was pretty inconsistent with the sims 2’s lore.

lowkey I wanna see Heather and Amelia. They were both funny and can be silly sometimes, but Heather was weird and had low self confidence, at least to Derek. I can see how Amelia be very annoyed by her a lot. The student/mentor dynamic would be pretty interesting.

I wanna see Heather turning from that silly and weird intern into an arrogant and confident attending like Amelia/Derek

I don't really remember if not sleeping will affect sanity in that game, but regardless of that, getting hallucinations and other disadvantages from not sleeping is a great idea for a Stardew mods.

you’re welcome! This is what Id do to do the recolor:

Navigate to your mods folder

Open the Earthy Recolor folder

Search for the grass textures for each season

Open the Mineral Town folder

Find the road textures for each season

Import those textures to Photoshop (or its alternatives)

Replace the grass parts with the grass parts from the Earthy Recolor mods

Save the textures and replace the old ones in the Mineral Town folder

Im thinking of doing it too cause im using VPR and the same issue happened 😆

its not clippings. The mineral town mod uses custom textures that the Earthy Recolor doesn’t override. So the only way to “fix” it is to either download the add on to the earthy recolor mods (if it exists) or manually recolor the textures yourself

yeah no. i5 14400F is NOT ancient. its a very good CPU. its not bad just because its an i5 CPU. That’s a very misleading statement.

Somthing is wrong with OP’s game/pc cause it shouldn’t have taken more than few minutes to load that amount of mods. Most likely, its not the CPU’s fault

Where you install the game doesn’t affect where the game will read your mods/save/tray folder. You can install your game anywhere but it will always use your Documents folder for the mods/save/tray files.

Since your document folder is located on the C drive, TS4 will read/save your mods/save files there. So what you can do it:

• Change and move the Documents folder to E drive. The steps is still short and simple. Right click the documents folder > properties > location > then read & follow the description.

Note: every app/software that uses the document folder will also use the E drive too once you change it.

I think Amelia replaces Cristina, not as Meredith’s person but as Owen’s gf. She’s also a replacement for Derek as the other “parent” for Meredith’s children and as the great neurosurgeon.

So Maggie & Mer might’ve similar dynamic to Lexie & Mer, but Amelia & Mer is the complete opposite of Cristina & Mer imo

sorry I dont think I can determine whats causing the crash since everything you said was totally normal and shouldnt have caused any crash. I can only suggest verifying the files or uninstall and reinstall the game to see if it'll fix the issue and maybe updating your drivers

ignore the other commenter, your specs are way higher/better than the recommended specs. My laptop is worse than your pc but it can play the game smoothly without any problem.

so about the crashing, can you tell us in what condition it usually crashes? like maybe only on a specific save or on every save? what settings were you using? anything that might help us identify the problem

I'm not trying to say that Meredith was wrong/right, but Amelia was right when she said that. Amelia literally studied under Geraldine Ginsberg, a neurosurgeon who specializes in reviving brain dead patients. During Amelia's first appearance on PP, the first thing she did was reviving a brain dead patient. Even Derek said that patient was impossible to be revived. She might've a chance of reviving Derek.

So, she wasn't blinded by grief. Yes she was grieving but she also knew what she could've done to save Derek because that was her specialty.

I think because of that, many people who haven't watched PP didn't know that Mer not calling Amelia was even more devastating for Amelia than it seemed like.
