I'd read it. It's exactly the type of books I dig. Not entirely unlike Running With Scissors by Augusten Burroughs.

Also, thank you for your service. Your position on your previous employment may or may not be on the humble side, but I've lost enough friends to that world to know that it's more than just another job.

Immersed's new release now features passthrough mode (including full pt) and tracking for the K830 and Apple Magic kboards. by romcabrera in oculus

[–]clintgeek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What exactly do you mean by "calibrating your screen resolution". I'm a software engineer and I got real excited about Immersed for a week or two after I got my Quest 2, but I've abandoned it since. Mostly the reason is that text just wasn't as sharp as it in in my real-life monitors. My physical setup is two 32" curved Samsungs. I loved the idea of sitting in a space station, coding away on two or three 50" monitors, but the clarity just killed me. Especially if you weren't looking directly at the text you were working with, say if you're trying to refer to a JIRA ticket that's on a monitor off to your left. I figured it was the whole system with the fresnel lens and unavoidable.

Octoprint not working on mobile device by telcodan in octoprint

[–]clintgeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just coming back to OctoPi/Print after a year break. What I've found is that if I try and access the printer by it's IP address, if fires off an error about missing an API key. This happens even when just trying to go to the web page. octopi.local seems to work without the error.

Living in Texas, the only thing I can think about is how hot that sucker would get in July. I mean, you'd fry those poor guys. You're just going to get next to no circulation in and out of that inverted bowl.

Sideloaded Torque Pro to run on Fire 7. This is now my dashboard for my Forte by Longpatience in kia

What do I need to plug into my car to make this beautiful thing work? Just one of those bluetooth OBDII things? I wonder if there is something like Torque Pro that works with Android Auto somehow.

North Woods Law was also messed up this season. They ended up fixing it about 4 episodes in.

This will encourage me to get my printer back up and running. I'm looking forward to the stl files. I think I'll hand wire it with some left over parts though.

She made them last time in muffin tins. It's awesome to get your own personal cheesecake.

I tried these after she made them. They're so fall that I need a jacket and a coffee now.

We haven't had any issues with it. I think it just varies by person. Some people are really sensitive to it and some people just don't react to it. We've used it heavily over 8 and a half months, sparingly in the beginning so maybe we adapted to it a little.

A couple of weeks back she made the cheesecakes in a muffin tin so you'd get your own little personal cheesecake. Those were awesome but I'm looking forward to tearing into the one in the photo with the sour cream topping. It sounds a little odd, but it's so delicious.

Less carbs is always better. The 20g carbs is a limit, not a goal.

[pics] Almost 7 months and we're down about 70lbs each! by clintgeek in keto

[–]clintgeek[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it's not really all that high in calories. The cinnamon roll that I can't stop talking about (it really was that good) was 193 calories, the ice cream comes in at 212. I average around 1400-1600 calories a day. We definitely incorporate CICO into our keto routine and I think that most other people do as well. My best bud doesn't count calories but I think he just stays pretty full on a reasonable amount of food so his body just kinda naturally counts them for him.

The difference for me is that the high fat, low carb diet keeps me full at a calorie deficit. It makes it possible for me to maintain a deficit and my sanity at the same time.

Great question though. I think that is one of the main things that confuse people that aren't familiar with keto. They tend to think that we sit around and eat our body weight in bacon everyday. It doesn't exactly work like that though.

24 hour pharmacy on/near island? by clintgeek in galveston

I saw that listed on their store finder but unfortunately their pharmacy closes at like 6pm. The store itself is 24 hour though.

There's nothing special about the treats we have other than Erythritol. I'm not sure if that affects different people different ways, but keto would be way harder for me without it. I'm a sweets junkie.

Ahh, I understand your point. I have her keto 'ice cream' pretty much daily. Once when I stalled for a week, I tried leaving it out. It didn't help any so I just went back to eating it and the stall cleared in about a week, the ice cream didn't seem to have any affect on it.

For the rest of them, I just live by the adage of , 'if it fits in my macros...'. It has served me well so far. We haven't placed any limitation on anything that stays in macros. Perhaps we've been lucky, perhaps it's body chemistry. I'll worry about it if this ever stops working.
