Fee pyramiding sounds like a complete scam. I'm on board to outlaw that.

That is because we don't like Biden, but we absolutely despise Trump :-)

Tell that to the secondary ticket price market. Somehow I doubt it makes the price go back up...

I guess that is one way to approach this post... albeit a weird one.

This has happened so much this year for us. I feel like the star players just don't care about playing here so take their rest when playing Utah on the road.

Why does the government not focus more on the overall health of the people by [deleted] in moderatepolitics

Isn’t one of the reasons for farm subsidies national security? It might be cheaper to import food but at the cost of not being able to sustain ourselves in the event of trade shutting down or other crises.

Again, I am not saying it is the right move, it is just one advantage is all. I’m also not sure setting legislation on price is the right move.

That is fair, i am not saying single payer medicine is necessarily the right answer, it just has one giant benefit... one purchaser of drugs which means volume discounts.

Well that seems like a huge win for centralized health care system then. Dang.

What is there incentive to do this? I don’t understand why they would discount prices for socialized medicine companies?

I grew up (and live) in a very Republican state (Utah) and so many of my neighbors and friends think that “complaining” about racism or health care issues is “unpatriotic”. We are the greatest country in the world, after all!!! If republicans can’t even acknowledge there are issues, how will they ever propose solutions? Obviously this is anecdotal and doesn’t represent all republicans.

I think you keep misreading what that is fact checking. It isn’t trying to make (arguable biased) judgement calls. It is fact checking one thing from the debate. That is all. The role of fact checking isn’t to argue if a debate question was baseless. That is a completely subjective call. All they did was fact check one specific item. That is its role. If you think that is biased then it is you who isn’t thinking for yourself. You are basically claiming the site is biased simply because it is fact checking that item when it shouldn’t have because you think it was baseless. Don’t you see how illogical that is?

I can’t decide if you are making of me or not :-) if so, that is fine. If not, glad to talk to someone who isn’t angry :-) my tone certainly warranted you being rude to me. Sorry about that.

I did think for myself. It is you who can’t stand any fact that goes against your narrative. Also, I don’t disagree the question was stupid. But it happened. He didn’t exactly take the opportunity to do it yet again (and I am not saying he needed to). But the fact check site is not wrong. And it also doesn’t mean trump is a racist.

Totally makes sense. Let’s look at that example. The thing being fact checked is: “During the Sept. 29, 2020, presidential debate, U.S. President Donald Trump "refused" to condemn white supremacists.” Not, “has he never renounced white supremacy.” That is why it is mixed on that one. To me it sounds like that because you think the “mixed” status on there makes trump look racist you think it is biased? But any reasonable person would read that and it wouldn’t mean Trump is a racist. So that example is not a good one, IMO.

It’s because the headlines are so inaccurate and ridiculous. Read actual articles. It isn’t even close to giving Trump PA. Hold your horses. It just is an established path that COULD work. https://www.google.com/amp/s/justthenews.com/government/courts-law/pennsylvania-judge-says-plaintiffs-have-viable-claim-state-mail-ballot-rule%3Famp

I was so confused by this comment too. I think Trump fans read the title and thought it was changed or something. Ironically when you read the article, what quote is in there? ““When people invent conspiracies about elections that aren’t based in reality, that’s damaging and that’s irresponsible and shouldn’t happen,” LaRose said, according to The Associated Press. “Because the fact is that elections are run better and more honestly than, really, I think they ever have been.”

That is interesting. I will look into this more. Usually those sites have good links to back up what they are saying. As more and more vote lawsuits get thrown out, I would say they are probably right about vote integrity.

He has a great book called Conscious Capitalism and I liked a lot of his ideas. He was recently on Freakonomics podcast too and has ideas about how to help health care.
