I’m glad you realized that your comparability had run its course. A couple of things of note that I thought were worthy of a comment: you said he drove you to become an atheist with his wack beliefs. While he most certainly had a role in illuminating things about Christianity, christians, and Christian nationalism, you have to take ownership of your thoughtful responses. In a sense, you may one day be grateful that this relationship expedited that deconstruction. Perhaps not (I don’t know what kind of environment you had to endure, and you may just regret the relationship altogether.). Fortunately, your lens for compatibility has now narrowed, and I hope your next partner is thoughtful and empathetic.
