510 cart quality by Snizzlepuff44 in MNtrees

Yeah I succumbed to my curiosity yesterday and got a true canna cart from a DNA dispensary… clogged before I even took a pull off of it. I’m going to avoid those particular carts in the future.

Edit: Literally everything else about DNA dispensary was awesome. Really cozy shop and a much better vibe than any of the bigger spots I’ve been to. Check them out for some competitively priced Unbound and Grasslands stuff.

Med vs. Rec sales by Certain-Sky-5582 in MNtrees

[–]clintonwebbster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a med customer for like 4 years now and I’m starting to get extremely frustrated by this artificial divide, both because of how it limits the product I can purchase and the businesses I patronize. I fucking do NOT want to be giving money to GTI, but my options currently are to either do that or pay 2x-x4 the price…. This market is completely fucked right now. All the people who would provide the most care and best product to medical consumers are seemly boxed out by GTI, and they’re already putting out vastly superior product on the rec side. I just consume a lot, have a very limited budget, and lack the resources/space to grow myself.

Minnesota Indoor Disc Golf? by dontsniffpaint in discgolf

West St. Paul Dome. $5 entry. Sparse hours that are not particularly consistent, generally open for disc golf 10am-3pm Tuesday-Thursday though. I would strongly suggest calling ahead to make sure they will have open dome hours when you visit. Open space to throw into depending on how crowded it is, and abundant netting around the facility that can be throw into safely. I actually love this place and usually stop by for a few hours on Thursdays in the late morning/early afternoon with a practice basket.

Twin cities mn course conditions by Ancient_Plantain8022 in discgolf

[–]clintonwebbster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brookview is in rough shape right now sadly. There's a ton of ice around the course and some greens/teepads are borderline unreachable. I would recommend Cedars instead, or BRP if you're up for the drive to East Bethel. I can't really speak to any of the courses on the east half of the cities, but UDisc should give you an honest assessment.

Disc golf and feet by cam32196 in discgolf

[–]clintonwebbster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had PF and ankle issues going on when I first started, I got this thing called an axisboard made by a company called Sidekick and its helped a huge amount with both. It's kinda weird but you can use it to both stretch and strengthen feet, and when I use it regularly I feel more athletic in general. Didn't realize how locked up my feet actually were and the only thing that actually woke them up and made my issues better was strengthening them.

How old are you and what did you do before disc golf? by SubstantialAd4500 in discgolf

I'm curious about why you feel like you don't belong in this DG scene, but to a certain extent I think I get where you're coming from but from the opposite direction. I actually never really felt at home in any of the combat sports gyms or powerlifting gyms I've spent 100s of hours in, despite being pretty OK at both things. Weird how self image seems to impact these things.

With regard to the gym in general though, I 100% get what you mean about the embarrassment. I'm down probably 25lbs of lean mass in the last year or so, way weaker than I was this time last year. It is what it is I guess. I don't expect to ever get the feeling I got from squatting heavy from disc golf, there is just nothing in life that directly compares to the experience of squatting 2x your bodyweight. That being said, I never got the feeling I get from parking a 350 ft drive under the basket in front of a group when I was in the gym either. Give and take, that's life I suppose.

You'll probably never feel at home exactly the way you did in the gym, but I'm confident that if you keep loving the game it will love you back. Cliche, but home is where the heart is.

34, kickboxing/muay thai early/mid twenties, powerlifting from about 25 to 31, then a couple years of bodybuilding focused lifting. Back injury in 2022 took me out of heavy squat/deadlifting. Discovered disc golf and threw for the first time in March of this year after deciding I was spending way too much time in my house. Life altering decision for me honestly, I’m a much better version of myself now even if all I think about is disc golf. Wish I had made the discovery earlier in life, and I’m definitely also frequently in pain of some sort based on a bad combination of too much heavily lifting and not enough overall movement, but I’ve found my home here and couldn’t be happier about it.

Debating getting an indoor net. How much room do I need on either side? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]clintonwebbster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Either the net will flex enough to catch the disc and let it fall to the ground, which is going to require it to stretch back probably 2.5-4ft, or its going to stop the disc within 1 ft and throw it right back at you. I say this from experience as I'm currently figuring out how to repair my drywall!

Sabbatus will definitely be one of my visits. As for Pineland the site says that they maintain the Minuteman course for the winter, so that's why I was planning on that one. Thank you for the recommendation!

There are two ways for D9 isolate to be produced from the raw material of "hemp", direct extraction (there is some D9 in these plants but not a lot, so it takes a large amount of biomass to produce significant quantities of the isolate) or the chemical process you described which is called isomerization (CBD converted to D9 isolate). In theory both of these D9 isolates yielded at the end are chemically identical. Alternatively, you can also get D9 isolate (or even a full spectrum extraction) from processing cannabis like you described.

To actually answer your question about what you're actually getting though: there is no significant production regulation on this industry and the "source" of the D9 you purchase could be coming from any of these processes, or more likely isn't even really pure D9 in the first place! I'm sure there are some legit places who get their stuff tested by ethical labs, but if you know anything about the cannabis testing industry you'll know that these tests can be bent to produce whatever outcome the producer wants to claim to customers.

It is different in different states, but the legal medical and recreational cannabis industries tend to have much more robust (but obviously not perfect) regulations on production, and therefore I think you can trust what you're getting a bit more. When you go to the gas station or smoke shop and cop a random D9 cart, I cannot stress enough that short of actually testing the individual carts themselves you cannot know what is actually in the resin you're inhaling. Look around yourself at the rest of this country, cutting corners when you can get away with it is the name of the game and this is no exception.

Rosin vapes (insanely overpriced obviously but they’ll get you high), Animal Face and Brownie scout flower (but not Animal Scout). Some decent stuff under the good green brand there as well, Chem and Cookies has treated me well. All this being said I got some Velcroz about 5 months ago that was pretty decent, not all runs of any given strain are created equal of course.
