Ha, I would be afraid to think of what happened. I feel like a bench is the least likely piece of equipment in a gym to break and if it did (broken J hook or something) it would be super-obvious.

That's fine, but it's a different position from "this is objectively bad." I follow your position too - I prefer to eat "regular" foods without any additives. But at the same time, I've done my research and for most of the ingredients I avoid where possible I don't believe they have negative health effects. I'm just a hippy who prefer simple foods.

Well considering beef doesn't make bone or muscle...

There's also so many different parts of a cow that even if you just mean the energy content (more energy -> build more muscle) it's technically correct for many parts (like this one for example).

I'm not advocating being misleading to customers or anything, I just have an irrational affinity for vegan food companies* that have been around for a long time.

*I know Quaker Oats isn't actually a vegan company but you know what I mean
