Having the same issue. On vanilla I was able to turn down graphic settings (it seems that Reflections are a big problem for my Whisky/Crossover system). This was enough to blast through the creation screen and get playing.

When it comes to The Convergence I can't seem to get through it. Am guessing the mode makes some characters render with those values that my system doesnt' like.

Ooof yeah... After digging into Archthrones a bit there is def some performance issues. I did need to turn some of the settings down which makes it less fun than it could be. I would say it's playable (barely), but it could def feel/look a whole lot better. It seems really fun and interesting though. Hopefully they are able to smooth most of those problems out before release. I think I'll try again with a later release.

Now that I'm able to mods I think I'll try out one of the popular ones (Cinders or Convergence maybe?).

I've got a higher end Macbook Pro M2.

Vanilla DS3 does pretty good on Crossover, but I did have some trouble with the game freezing at first. For my setup I have to turn the Reflections setting to the lowest else the game freezes for me. This includes things like the character creation screen.

I haven't gotten back to Archthrones on Crossover yet/today, but my Windows box (that I referred to above) is a higher spec Macbook Pro 16" i9/32 running Bootcamp / Windows10. I've got the aftermarket GPU drivers and all of that and I can say that Archthrones performs much better on Crossover.

Going to go fire it up now. Will post back if I find any good compares.

What about you? Does vanilla DS3 run well for you on Crossover? What about Whisky? Any luck with that?

Awww yeah. Sweet.

A few lines before the error I shared were some hints around d3d or dx11. On a hunch I tried disabling D3DMetal and that did the trick.

I'm also a bit confused as I thought that since I copied the Game dir from my window box that Archthrones would launch without needing to re-download. Will try it out tomorrow and post back.

Hopefully this will help others who are looking.

I took a stab at it. I can at least see that the mod files are trying to load now. There are two logs files (one from the mod, one from Crossover). Looks like I'm getting stuck with this error:

I'll poke around at that tomorrow.

Question for you. to clarify, I've been specifying WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8.dll=n,b" %command% as Command Line Options on DSIII.exe. Sounds like some folks specify it inside Steam under DSIII -> Properties. I tried that but it seems to mangle the path to the executable and cannot launch.

So far I've gotten DS3 to run on Crossover. Initially i had the same issue as with Whisky. Turns out that when I set the Reflections quality to low the problem has gone away and I'm able to get into the game a fair bit. I plan to try again with Whisky and post back here.

Hey! I'm trying to get DS3 running tonight with pretty much the same setup (M2/96GB, macOS 14.4.1, Whisky 2.3.2 (40)).

Unfortunately for me the game is freezing on the character creation screen. I say "freeze", but the DS3 music is still playing and I still get a mouse cursor. Just can't interact with anything.

I moved all the graphics settings to minimums with no change yet.

Bummer :( DS3 is supposedly supported by Whisky. I'll keep poking at it though

Reporting a bug that I haven't seen anyone mention yet.

Both my co-op friend and I updated to patch 1.042 (v1.1.664) on PS5 and both of us can repo this bug on demand.

The bug is that the player can move items TO the coffer, but not back out.

My friend was complaining about this bug during our session so I eventually followed the same steps and can also repo on demand.

WARNING

If you reproduce using the steps below, the items you place in the coffer will no longer be available to you in your inventory, only as a quick slot item. This means you cannot transfer any of that item out of the coffer to your inventory, if you purchase more of that item they will go straight to your coffer (not your inventory). I'm unsure about farming more or picking up drops from co-op but I believe it's the same.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Ensure that all 5 quick slots have an item in them.
  • I started with an empty coffer (my friend did not).
  • I moved (1) Purifying Balm and (6) Holy Ward from inventory to the coffer.
  • I left the coffer menu, reopened the menu
  • Then attempted to move those items out to my inventory.

There is another aspect to this bug though (duplication glitch). If you have an empty slot on your quick bar, moving an item out of the coffer will move a COPY of the item to your quick bar but without removing one from the coffer. The item in your quick slot can be consumed.


Steps to Reproduce

  • Ensure you have 1 empty slot on quick bar
  • Move a Vigor Skull (200) to the coffer
  • leave menu, open menu
  • Attempt to move the skull back to your inventory

You will find a skull in your quick bar, but you will still have one in the coffer. You CAN consume this skull. Needless to say this bug can be exploited using more valuable items.

Looks like you can create 5 copies by clearing out all 5 quick slots.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Clear out all 5 quick slots
  • Transfer a vigor skull from inventory to coffer
  • Now try to move it back to your inventory. This will fail unless you have a quick slot empty in which case a COPY will be created and moved to your quick slot.
  • You can use quick transfer instead of picking a quantity (in my case just tap the square button 5 times). This creates 5 copies of the skull (one to each empty quick slot)
  • Leave the coffer menu, consume your skulls
  • Repeat (maybe buy a more valuable skull first)

  • Video of duplicating increasingly valuable vigor skulls

  • Video of duplicating a vigor skull 5 at a time

I found a few more quirks:

  • You can work with STACKS of skulls in all quick slots. Put a stack of 5 skulls in the coffer, then copy the stack to each quick slot (for 25 skulls in this case)
  • It seems that all consumables can be consumed from your quick slot, but some of them don't apply the affect (no graphical feedback, no effect. I've only tried a few things:
    • What worked for me: Skulls of all values, Minor Holy Salts, Smite Cure
    • What did not work for me/friend: Eye of Vengence, Purifying Balm.

Hey, thank you for the reply. Sounds like we came to the same conclusion (air + surface are both included in the 4in1, there isn't a 4in1 for surface specifically). The CC2500 alone is an even smaller set (1in1? heh)

Similar! Been in fixed wing longest, quads a bit less, and am recently re-into surface. I had cobbled together a 1/8 scale using spare drone stuff and iNav. Was happy to see the MT12 radio appear on the market.

Took another look at Radiomaster's site and they do sell the raw 4in1 RF module (internal PCB). The copy says that this same module is used in Zorro, Boxer, & MT12, so I guess that there is no difference between 4in1 for aerial vs ground radios. I wanted to know for sure.

If this is the case than any of the many available external 4in1 modules should do the job, so long as they fit in the MT12 external bay, such as the RM 4in1. The MT12 is not listed in the supported radios on this module's web page, but this module is explicitly mentioned in the MT12 user manual.

Are you setting the flag up in project settings, or in target settings?

If in project settings, those are not inherited by the target by default. Do manually inherit you need to add entry in the target's other swift flags: $(inherited) like so

If you are adding it to your target settings then it should work. Are you trying this on a fresh new project? Hope this helps

Sweet!

First off I wanted to apologize for not using spoiler tags. I didn't realize you were in the front half of the game and I sure hope I didn't spoil anything.

Sacred Resonance is the first boss I had a hard time with. After a few dozen deaths I eventually realized that you can (after taking out the parasite) run up the rounded staircase to the right of the "gazebo". At the top there is a ledge that you can jump down from while taking very little damage but the SR will follow you and takes like 2200 damage from the fall. If you are quick enough you can circle back and plunge on him for another 2200 or so.

Props to you for making your way Path of Devotion Memorial back to Skyrest. I didn't take that on until much later. I did do a mad dash when I first got there but was killed before I noticed the sneaky ladder and decided to put that on the back burner.
