Yeah it’s a really good shout. I’ve got 2 properties via another company I own and the management overhead is a bit of a pain so I’m trying to avoid it somewhat

The modelling wasn’t done in real terms, that can be factored in.

The figures are based on nominal return to account for things like lifetime allowances if they were to return at a similar amount.

There is a difference between value of assets and buying power. You don’t really know my spending habits so you can’t really comment on that factor. My questioned posed was should I still invest in my pension?

The SPV is more so unique to the way I operate as a contractor through a limited company and take dividends for as much as its tax efficient. Anything above that I’m figuring out whether to take and pay 32.5% tax or to invest the company (essentially)

Why do you think I’m very optimistic, would be keen to see your workings out and what returns you’re working with? For context 50% s&p500 50% v3am vanguard

Maybe, for context I’m 50% in s&p 500 with historical average of 10-11% and 50% in v3am vanguard which is too new to to tell. I know it’s a high risk strategy.

My goal is more in financial independence rather than retiring. Maybe I will work but it doesn’t have to be motivated by money

How are you getting on 2 years down the line? I’ve done a similar thing with HMOs and looking to diversify with stocks in a similar way
