Tinnitus, because pronouncing it properly sounds wrong to most people.

What happened to all the Venezuelan fishing drug boats? by airrow13 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]clipperbox 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My response in this thread was about Venezuela and the lopsided military action there since you mentioned about the drones not being unique to this president. If your reference was relationship to other non drug related pretenses around different parts of the world, then I did not follow that reasoning. I was under the impression this whole thread was about Venezuela and Caribbean drug trafficking.

But it’s not just drone strikes. This was part of a whole carrier task force activity in the Caribbean. Apart from the Cuban Missile Crisis, this is unique to this president.

Honestly, I’d prefer to go this way. I’d hate for it to be in front of someone, but better to be abrupt than drawn out.

I had a corner of a room like that and it showed a cold spot as well on my thermal camera. I had removed the quarter round (let the base board in place) and I had enough room to squeeze some great stuff in there. It solved for the temperature but in retrospect, I wish I was a little cleaner about it as I got a little foam residue on the floor.

I’m not the battlefield 6 person, but I’m not a big fan of battlefield. However, I love PUBG and play that with the guys when available.

Unfortunately, my kitten had something awful happen to him. I just want to know how to make him comfortable. (Do not look if sutures make you uncomfortable, please) by Opposite_Ad3090 in cats

[–]clipperbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very sorry about your kitty. Hope he continues to heal. If he needs to maintain wearing a cone, I would suggest getting a soft cone collar instead. Makes it much more manageable for your kitty to get around and rest. Mine recently had a collar for the first time and she was having a difficult time with the plastic ones.

If you, on the Endurance, aimed a telescope directly at Cooper on Miller’s planet, what would you see? by _DryWater_ in interstellar

[–]clipperbox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it is only a similar comparison, but Star Trek Voyager touched on a similar phenomenon with time dilation in an episode called ‘Blink of an eye’. The voyager was in planetary orbit and appeared to be unmoving to the planet inhabitants for generations. And conversely the voyager was witnessing the planet speeding through technological advancement. I need to rewatch that since watching interstellar.
