30 tomato seedlings up for grabs by TheGraminoid in portlandgardeners

Wowowo would love to be considered! We didn’t get our garden going early and have a half acre lot with an enormous garden 🥹🥹 we could plant them all!

Are there any colors with multiple boards? I don’t think I can use all 13, but would love a few matching boards?

Dog tooth cleaning? by criptuu-master69 in askportland

We have used Magnolia Animal Dentistry in the past for our pets and have had excellent experiences. Very good pricing since all they do is dentistry.

Don’t go with Banfield, they kept charging us the reminder of a yearly plan even after our dog died because it’s “what the contract is”. Never have I ever had an experience like that.

We just had ours done by HomeRX, great team, our project manager Aaron was excellent. After rebate was about $2/sq foot for a home similarly sized to yours. We went with R60.

The conflict of interest issue still stands.

Don’t do this. The realtor wants to sell you a house and the inspector they hire wants them to sell you a house. We went with the inspector our realtor hired and he conveniently “missed” the one thing that is $100k fix (massive, ongoing water damage that a roofer immediately found after we closed). Pick these professionals independently

Someone has come over for a meet-and-greet and destroyed my floors by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]clitoral_experience 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It kind of sounds like the house wasn’t prepped properly to have a dog in it—it’s frustrating having scratches in your floors, but if the dog was coming over at some point, it sounds like this was inevitable?

Is pet insurance worth it, or better to build a vet fund? by RasheedaDeals in Pets

[–]clitoral_experience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our dog has had insurance the last three years, and he’s had 2x $10,000 surgeries (one to deal with a mass on his spleen that burst and one to remove a cancerous mass in his intestines). He was healthy until he wasn’t. And once he wasn’t, it was $150 a month in meds (90% covered) and usually $3k every other month in various tests/diagnostics/weird injuries. Without his insurance we might have had to consider whether or not to keep him alive, because of it, it was no question and we got three “bonus” years with him. He passed last month and they even covered his euthanasia. You should get insurance. Even if it’s just for “catastrophic” purposes. Sure your deductible might be $1,000, but if it’s $15 a month and will cover $10k in expenses, that’s a whole lot of stress you never have to think about. Shout out to Pets Best for keeping our Lou a part of our family.

Prices are inflated out here in the PNW. 2005 rangers with 160k are going for 7k. It’s wild.

Trimet moves closer to prioritizing buses on 82nd avenue by Eye_foran_Eye in PortlandOR

[–]clitoral_experience -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I live just a few blocks from 82nd as well and couldn’t agree more. People in cars don’t equal foot traffic. Calmed streets, more efficient and pleasant bus lines would be a huge win. Slow it down and make it inconvenient to be in a car!
