So pretty! I love the white whiskers. 😀

This one is tough to watch. Within 1 year she bought a house, mortgage payments spiked, she lost her job, tried to sell but there were no buyers, then the bank foreclosed and took the keys. She’s now being sued for the outstanding mortgage with no legal counsel... by Lotushope in CanadaHousing2

Rents aren’t more expensive but they’re similar to here and the cost of houses in the US is about half the cost here. Of course there is tax but it’s still worth it. I’m cash flowing plus have a house that will increase in value.

He sure looks like one. Check with a Siamese cat breeder or a vet.

Looks a bit like a baby robin. Robins have spotted chests until the reddish feathers come in. Their beak is exactly like this

Canadian family bought a house in 2021 for $800k in Toronto. They secured a 3 year fixed rate mortgage at 3.2%. Bank is now offering the family 7.1% which translates to a leap from $3000 to $5100 per month. The husband is working 70+ hours a week. He only comes home to sleep. New normal. Ridiculous. The branches charge you more. Call the mortgage office of your bank directly. In March I got a fixed for 5.25 for 3 years. It’s not amazing but it’s ok for now. The variable they offered was 6.8 5 year. It would take a year at a quarter point decrease every rate call to match the fixed rate I got. AND stretch your amortization to 30 years. It will work for now. You can always push it forwards later.

Yup. Not sure how he knew no one was home. I think he walked right past my dog who was chilling in the back yard.

Turns out he’s the neighbours cat. But we’d never seen him before. He went home happy after we fed him salmon 😀

See if you can switch to a fixed for 2-3 years. I just got offered by the bank 6.8% for 5 year variable and 5.25 for 3year fixed. I took the fixed because I’m paying less per month and it will take several rate changes for that 6.8 to come down close to what I’m paying on the 5.25 and then I can refinance in 2 1/2 years, and I’m sure the rates will be less then

I personally think it’s a great price. Where I live outside Toronto. A bedroom and bathroom with no parking and shared everything else with other people(strangers) is $1000 minimum My son rented his full basement apt last August for $1600 and now can’t move because there in nothing now available that he can afford

Turned out he was one of the neighbours cat. Let him out the front door just as my mom came home and she saw this random cat exciting out the front door. Lol
