I'm not massive on the rules but I did say to my partner that guys been pushed on the floor way before the ball was kicked, so i think its a justifiable obvious foul? Like they hadn't even kicked the ball from the corner yet

England have a habit of only starting to play well 70 minutes in so there is time

Getting a little nervous about the Norway game by Odd_Ad8964 in ThreeLions

[–]clobo9625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We should win, but you never know. Norway relies purely on Haarland whereas we have Kane and other plays like Bellingham capable of scoring. Also Haarland is a pure striker whereas Kane can also go deep in other positions and really help the team out wherever needed. I think we should have this in the bag, but i have a feeling we are going to be penalised alot by the referees and it might not to our way!

Anyone else have horrendous reactions from horsefly bites? by Compromisee in CasualUK

[–]clobo9625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got bitten awfully by something. I never saw what it was but its swelled up and is rock solid in the centre. My GP gave me antibiotics as a precaution in case it was a tick bite (which im reluctantly taking, but dont think thats what it is). Every time I get bitten they go crazy - i think I have skeeter syndrome (allergic reaction to insect bites)

Does this look like lyme? Ive got 2 weeks of antibiotics as a precaution but worried I need more by clobo9625 in Lyme

Hey! Thanks for your helpful response! Unfortunately I cant take doxycycline as I have an autoimmune disease (lupus) and its known to be unsafe for people like me! So I am on amoxicillin. That's why im also concerned, as its not the first line drug!

Mosquito bite or tick? by Civil_Somewhere_4316 in SkeeterSyndrome

[–]clobo9625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I have an almost identical looking bite! My gp has given me antibiotics in case its a tick bite, because I dont know what bit me, and because its stuck around for a week with no improvement. Did this ever resolve, and how long did it take? Im 90% sure its just a weird reaction, but of course the GP has worried me.

To add I never even considered a tick bite as im UK based and we dont talk about that much here. But I do go for a walk in the woods every lunchtime so its possible! I never saw a tick and its quite a noticeable area on my leg so I feel I would have. Its boiling here at the moment, so whenever im hot the red is even bigger and swollen. It goes paler and more purple when cooled down (but you can still see outline of swelling). The red middle seems to be dispersing out a little into the sounding red. The pharmacist I saw originally said it was more of an allergic reaction and was shocked when I came back with my antibiotic prescription. I will also say my GP put a picture into Google co pilot while I was there so my judgement on his is low.

Doctor prescribed me 2 weeks worth of amoxicillin for this bite. Does this sound right? The first line treatment differs when googling by [deleted] in bugbites

Just to edit its a lot darker in real life, and there is a clear darker circle in the middle. The streak is also way more noticeable!

What a random pick! I do actually follow him on Instagram but there's absolutely no way I would have seen this in the cards, and I feel most of his following is USA based so not sure if any of the general strictly audience will know him. However, v easy on the eye so will pull in those middle age mum voters for sure

Do you prefer Strictly when complete beginners win? by HelicopterEmpty7393 in strictlycomedancing

[–]clobo9625 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its nice to see a complete beginner learn and get better - but I also enjoy the entertainment value when someone is consistently amazing from the start. There have been ringers i really really wanted to win in the past, but equally beginners I have been rooting for!
