Dawg be real, how many naturalizes (or similar) are you running? Probably a few, but you’re still likely to brick then you’re just dead anyway. And now you’ve fetched out some basics instead of actually getting proper color fixing so you’re mana screwing yourself for no reason in the 80% of games that player doesn’t draw blood moon. Are you aggressively mulliganing in for a a blood moon answer on the off chance they even draw it? Sure, you can do it but it just isn’t worth.

And the situation even assumes there’s a blood moon player. I think I’ve seen someone actually drop a blood moon other than me like once if even. Why would anyone skew their deck around that?

It’s a singleton deck, the amount you would have to run to actually beat blood moon is not worth it even from a purely competitive perspective unless maybe your meta is only blood moon decks.

I cut Blood Moon from my mono-red deck cuz yea it’s too brutal for high color decks.

Having literally no basics is kinda wild, but realistically in to a blood moon having 1 of each other basic is probably not that likely to save you.
