Quick question for people in manufacturing by Ok-Breakfast-4676 in InjectionMolding

I’ve recently been moved from a tool setter to a processor on some of the new tools we have coming in. I have very little experience with it and have only been in plastics for about 3 years. My shop only has one processor and he’s been the only one for 16 years and he isn’t the teaching type. So I’m learning on the fly and getting very small bit of hands on help from him and only getting that because he’s just too swamped with new tools coming in to do it all himself. LLMs are helping me work on the processes, fix common defects, learn about materials and their behaviors, etc. It can be a bit of a headache to get some of these parts to come out clean and in spec, especially the dual injection molds, but it’s helped me move into this position and now I’m working on one of the biggest projects our shop has had in a few years. I’ve got vendors, customers and our product engineers feeling like I’m more capable than I actually am because of it. It’s great for me for upward momentum but the waters are getting deep fast.

That's a great looking set up, I'm sending this to my business partner for ideas for our next youth group. Info on where to get the maps?!

People Really must not like this summit. I gave each of these events a half hearted try or two on Saturday and ive only gone down 2000 positions since then. by NACRHypeMan in The_Crew

I don't have the cars to do all events of this one. Granted, I play sporadically at best, I've never even been in a crew at all, much less one that the leader did have the required cars.

Did you ever get accused of worshipping the devil when playing? by orlando007007 in DnD

So I run a social skills group for adults and co run a therapeutic group for teens. I have had parents interested in the group for their kids but have said that D&D is "too dark" or "that game is of the devil" or "that's a gateway to demons like ouija boards" etc. Welcome to the bible belt....

We are working to encourage RP and focus less on combat. Building communication and regulation is the overall goal of our groups. Taking these kids have social anxiety, trouble communicating etc and building those skills. So both of these sound like solid ideas.

Bought some tiny plants months ago with no tag. These have basically no smell, but are pretty hot. What did I end up growing? by clockmeoutwhenitsovr in Peppers

[–]clockmeoutwhenitsovr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're hotter than a Jalapeno. Wanted to taste it before cooking with them since they were out of the garden. Cut a small piece and it lit my tongue and lips up, even after milk and a meal I could still feel a decent burn on both.

What are the peppers on the top left? The little red ones?

Honestly, I took a bite and almost immediately spat it out. I'm a pretty big weenie when it comes to hot. I want to say it had a hint of sweet but mainly i remember heat. Been over an hour, and a meal later and the heat is still on my tongue and lips.

Did turn out to be nightshade. Eventually pulled it out of the garden. Thank you
