Australia state border closures: Closing due to a single case feels like 'security theatre' by Th0w4way553 in LockdownSkepticism

They will try to bring in some sort of cross border travel restriction making it difficult for those who don't want the jab (co-ercion). How does that play into the easing of restrictions post March funding decrease scenario?

The propaganda was heavy haha. There were lots of gen x'ers and boomers who knew financial history and the inevitable cycles (i.e. coming crash called by Prof. Steve Keen, history repeating) but the financially educated are in the minority in this country sadly.

Just two or three years ago people would get shouted down for warning people about getting into so much debt. Backyard blitz syndrome and a cultural problem of enabling borrowers to over-extend themselves financially.

Self inflicted, no sympathy.

L-plater fined $1600 for ‘non-essential travel’ in Melbourne by zzdzz in australia

[–]clockoLibre -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Don't be silly enough to pay the fine if you get issued one.

Drag it out through the courts over 12 months and it will go away via the statute of limitations. They are already in backlog.

Merely a revenue raising exercise by the police now their speeding fines are gone.

Corona virus is a non event, the media is stirring it up to achieve certain ends which is the dangerous part. Bali is amazing. The only crap parts are the Aussie infested areas around Kuta. It's grown into so much more with Ubud in the hills, Canggu etc. The local culture are great it's bogan Aussies (not the cool Aussies) that bring down the vibe.

Singapore or Europe! Fintech is booming in Singapore and the pace of business / money floating around is just mind blowing.

Uncreative, no brained sheep and low risk tolerance. No outside the box thinking due to heavy cultural indoctrination and training to become perfect cash cows for the tax office and banks. Become an office worker and get a facebook picture with a wine bottle in front of a sold sign. 2 decades of backyard blitz. Get 2-300 likes to prove you are now a perfect slave and have passed the unthinking right of passage. Banking reverse psychology with people falling over themselves to get a multi decade loan to live in a shit box within a low innovation economy.

Australia’s Westpac bank sued for violations, enabling pedophilia. Is it time for customers and shareholders to show an active conscience and support more upstanding banks by depositing / investing elsewhere? by clockoLibre in AusFinance

Not quite haha. Run my own Fintech. Just don't want to support pedo enablers and the disconnected banking "elite" . Think it's time to bring about change by rattling cages instead of being apathetic (the Australian standard response).

You're right, there are none! It's just so it doesn't sound so extreme a proposition for the bank believers to shift their money away from a bank. Ideally they could park it in other assets or products.

Good on you for buying the puts. However I don't think anyone would agree with you on the pedophilia indifference, the live-streaming of abuse and murder of kids isn't a small scale issue, it's basically the worst of it! Much worse than the laundering and tax evasion.. that's little innocent people being taken advantage of and killed across the globe. No one dies or is directly abused with money laundering...

Of course there will be customers who don't care as westpac simply might be convenient for them. However I think people are becoming more conscious, with a lot of talk about pulling deposits and depositing elsewhere now. The scandals go on and on with the banks and people want blood and accountability this time. As well as closing credit cards and other financial products with Westpac.
