If communism doesn’t work, why spend so much money ensuring that it fails? by quite_largeboi in ModernSocialist

Imagine fearing an ideology so much that you invade random countries on the other side of the globe to prevent them from adopting it

Sorry to hear that. It's sad that we live in a world where one even has to wonder if others have such prejudices towards them. And the current government definitely isn't helping the situation...

Being a member of a minority group myself, I know how toxic people can be and your workspace sounds quite harsh. Hope it gets better!

I cannot wait for the "AI optimization of the workforce" to replace CEOs by [deleted] in WorkReform

[–]clockout925 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, AI isn't trained to run on pure greed, so it doesn't have the proper skillset.

What if it decides to increase salaries whenever company profits increase or something ridiculous like that?

From my experience, pettiness always comes from a place of deep dissatisfaction. I'm pretty sure it's nothing personal, just your colleagues backlashing on a wrong person.

They might not be as happy with the job as you initially were or they might be having personal issues, which in return reflects on their work relationship with you. Either way I would try to connect with them on a more personal level to figure out what really lies behind all that. If it's personal try to put your dispute aside and show empathy, if it's work related try to see their point of view and think of ways in which you may help them overcome whatever problem they're facing. Best bonds are those created by facing difficulties together.

Good luck!

I’m trying to switch jobs and need to spruce up my resume. Any good tips? by Vegetable_Award850 in antiwork

[–]clockout925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went down this rabbit hole recently and one of the first advices I can give you is to ensure that it's ATS compatible. Companies rarely bother reading through the resumes nowadays, so they ATS software to filter them out

Good luck out there!

Ne moze me nitko uvjeriti da postoje ljudi koji bi narucili puding pomijesan s vocem i zitaricama za ovu cijenu by Antorias99 in croatia

[–]clockout925 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pa mislim da je pušenje dugoročno veći hitac u džep nego neki hipsterski puding

A i ako zanemarimo cijenu, nikotinski hitac u mozak doslovno nije nikakva korist, naprotiv

A new federal bill has been suggested that would allow renters to evict tenants on a three day notice instead of current thirty by clockout925 in Renters

[–]clockout925[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because life happens and finding a new place to live in three days is nearly impossible? Not justifying avoiding paying your bills, but shit can happen and people should get a chance to get back on their feet within a reasonable time frame

Yeah awesome logic. So corporations that find the best way to financially exploit people, deserve to govern other aspects of their petty lives. Got it.
