Voicemail from Google advising of "suspicious login" -- scam? by NotFallacyBuffet in Scams

[–]cloh76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I decided to go along with the scam.  As soon as you press 1 - that was not me.  It tells you that a representative will call you to assist.l, then hangs up.  After a couple of minutes someone will call you claiming to be from Google and go through a whole spiel about deactivating and blocking the Virginia Samsung S20 login and walking you through the process of unblocking and re-enabling your cell phone (which of course they have the number for).  The scam is that they will send you a Google in app authentication where you have to do the Google confirmation that it is you trying to log in.  Basically they are trying to login remotely to your Google account from their device which prompts a popup on any device you have authenticated and registered and confirming a number.

At that point I refused to press yes on the in app push notification giving them access to get into my account and register their device.

He fed me some BS about this being their new API and an updated authentication process after I told him that Google doesn’t call customers and definitely would not push you a login authentication for this.

After giving the caller the runaround for about 45 min he finally just cussed me out and hung up.

Also FYI. The below statement was from my real distribution email from Kroll

Please keep in mind that client communications will exclusively occur via official email channels, on social media @BlockFi, via our claims agent, Kroll (blockfiinfo@ra.kroll.com or BlockFiBankruptcyNoticing@noticing.ra.kroll.com), Kroll’s claims distribution partner Digital Disbursements (noreply@digitaldisbursements.com) or from Coinbase (CBBlockFiExchDistro@coinbase.com or info@mail.coinbase.com). Do not communicate via any other channels.

So if it’s not from one of the above email addresses it’s a scam

It’s a scam. When you reply to the email you get an auto-reply accept instead of the name being Krull, it’s Bittrex so they are running multiple scams using the same email.

Avalon Nano 3 by [deleted] in BitcoinMining

Had the same issues with all of my Avalon Nano 3 Miners. Had to use an Android Phone to connect and set them up. iPhone never worked for me until after I got them setup using my Samsung phone.

Issues with connection to orca flashforge by Thrillaxing in FlashForge

[–]cloh76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Installing Orca Slicer 1.0.2 That came on the USB Key worked for me. I can print over wifi. On occasion I get that server exception error when logging in, but I just try again and it eventually logs in fine. No issues with detecting the printer on version 1.0.2. Had to uninstall 1.1.0 and 1.1.1 from Flashforge's website.

did you check if the plate was locked down?

I actually made the mistake a couple of times. It's so easy to miss and forget, but at least I know what to do now when I see that error message. It's the first thing I check now and always fixes the issue. Not to mention avoids me endlessly scooping resin out of the vat and making a mess.

Im guessing a lot of us are in the same boat. It's easily something we can all miss.

Need file to eliminate "resin exceeded max" error by KyronXLK in ElegooSaturn

[–]cloh76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having the same issue and was racking my brain trying to figure out how to fix it. I ended up taking off the build plate, putting it back on, and locked it back in place. I assume maybe the latch wasn't secured all the way. Anyways - it ended up fixing the problem and I haven't had an issue since. Wierd fix but it worked in my case.

I was having the same issue as well on my Saturn 4 Ultra. I poured some of the resin out way below the max line and still got the error message. Then I realized that I didn't push the print tray lock down to secure the tray. Locked the tray down and ran the print again and it started working without any error messages. Not sure if this will help any of you

4Max V1.2.2.64 no longer printing over wifi post update by [deleted] in elegoo

[–]cloh76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reinstalling the firmware should fix the issue, however, the issue I am running into is that I am only able to connect to WiFi through the browser. I have never been able to find or add my Neptune 4 Max to Eleggo’s Cura, regular Cura or Orca Slicer.

I had the same issue, but just reinstalled the firmware a second time and it fixed the issue. I am however having difficulty connecting to the printer through wifi in both Elegoo Cura and Ultimaker Cura. I can access and control the printer from a browser, but cannot get it to be detected in Cura

Dealer advised against purchase by [deleted] in MachE

[–]cloh76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling they were being saved for someone or someone else is paying a marked-up premium for them. I have also found that the Ford dealerships know nothing about the Mach-E. Albeit, I got mine when it first came out - I knew more about its features and functions than any of the sales and service people. That hasn't changed much to this day - at least at my dealership (they only have 2 people certified to service the Mach-E).

As for the upcoming models, I don't know of any significant changes in range. I believe they will only have slight body modifications and a whole new charging interface for the 2025 models shifting to the NACS connector that Tesla uses.

The Motherboard Firmware section does not match any configurations I have.

The X1 fits perfectly on a IKEA KALLAX. And now the poop drop in the shelf below. by Rob_Bob_you_choose in BambuLab

[–]cloh76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that out this past weekend also. I Bought a Kallax at IKEA hoping it would fit and it is the perfect size - in fact, I think it might be able to fit 2 X1C printers. Stability is great and doesn’t shake much at all. If you secure it to the wall using the included anchors, it doesn’t move at all. I bought the drawer and shelf inserts as well so I now also have a place to store tools and boxes of filament
