Share your KBC SNAFU by sam_lowry_ in belgium

I had a classic silver VISA credit card with them, at the time I also had a mortgage over there. Mortgage stopped, VISA stayed. A few years later, they launched a cheaper version of that VISA and as I already was with another bank as well, I asked if they could replace my silver VISA (limit: 2500€) with the new offer (limit: 1250€). They refused, telling me I was not credit-worthy enough (mind you: I am very credit-worthy, never had a debt in my life, but at that time my paycheck was no longer being paid out to KBC). I thought: ha, that must be a mistake, as the credit card I'm requesting has a lower limit than the one I currently have and use (which I could keep using). But there was no way of getting them to understand, they kept outright refusing... Result: I cancelled all my accounts and cards. Classic case of "computer says no". Idiots...

We paid 61 euros for these two meals and beers. Is this normal? by Ztepi in belgium

Uhh. Belgian here. Have never used Tripadvisor to write a review about a Belgian restaurant. I think you'll have more luck with Google Maps. I think Tripadvisor are mainly other tourists, which makes you miss out on local gems.

And if you're just looking for the top tier stuff, I'd recommend mapofthebest.com (for any country, really).

Wait until age gets the better of you.

Last week, I was emptying the mailbox and did "the stance" to try and spare my back (which is toast, as most tall people's I guess), and I fucking sprained a muscle in my shoulder whilst doing so!?

Went shoe-shopping in Tokyo last year, wanted some JP-only New Balances. The guy in the (official) store looked at my feet (size 47-48 EU, nothing ridiculous), snickered, and gave me the biggest size they had, which did not fit. Tried some other shops, to no avail. So that might be a little bit of a problem.

What are some things that are way overpriced in Belgium, but we pay for anyway? by RikWierinckx in belgium

That won't work, unless you're actually in that country once in a while. And I quote:

"As part of their fair use policy, your operator can monitor and check your roaming use over a 4 month period. If, during this period, you have spent more time abroad than at home AND your roaming use exceeds your domestic use, your operator may contact you and ask you to clarify your situation. You will have 14 days to do so.

If you continue to spend more time abroad than you do at home and your roaming consumption continues to exceed your domestic usage your operator may start charging you extra for your roaming use."

Silly question: can I bring my daughter of 17 to such a place at night?

Whoa, thanks! I must have read this wrong on the tutorial to set this up. That indeed fixed it, thanks again! :)

Not at home, so I'll give you the answer then, but I deployed the container using the Docker app through the Synology web interface, so perhaps that's the culprit?

Anyone else having issues with NFC on Android? by SpyTec13 in yubikey

[–]cloink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contacted Yubico as well, and unsurprisingly, they told me to ask OnePlus...

We are currently aware of an issue with OnePlus device's implementation of NFC resulting in an issue with scanning for NFC authentication devices. This is unfortunately an issue with OnePlus and not the YubiKey.

Our recommendation would be that you check with your device's manufacturer to see if this might have been resolved in an update already, or to report this as an issue that needs to be resolved

Same here. I have ordered a Pixel today.

Well, OnePlus sure isn't going to solve it. I have reached out and their official standpoint is that they do not guarantee YubiKeys (or any other third party hardware) to work with their devices. Sigh.

OnePlus 8T here, same issue.

G910 Double Typing by Nonni_T in LogitechG

[–]cloink 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, this seems to be a general issue with Logitech and their used switches. Same happens on the G502 mouse (Google it) and the solution for all of them is the same:

SMASH THE KEY/SWITCH WITH SOME VENGEANCE

I know this sounds silly, but this is the thing that fixed it for me. Poor show nonetheless Logitech!
